Part 1: Genesis
From the endless sea of nothingness that is the Null, the All-Father gave life to creation.
With his will, He created the first sparks of light from darkness.
With his will, he created the Quintessence from the lifelessness of the Null.
With his will, he birthed the Celestials.
The Celestials are builders. It was by their hand that the stars were forged, concepts were made and the heavens were decorated. They shaped creation in accordance to the will of the All-Father, and made the Gods so that they give beauty to life.
The Gods are the gardeners. They shaped life as we know it and made so that it's diverse, colorful and teeming with grace.
-
Among the innumerable worlds that the Celestials forged, Gaia is one of them. It has vast expanses of oceans, jungles, forests, mountains, deserts, plains and savannahs. It is a world which gets all four seasons and can host all forms of life.
The five Great Races on the world called Gaia were created in the image of the Gods, as each race embodies an aspect of their divine selves.
To the Elves, they who are proud and noble, the Gods bestowed yearning perfection unto them. They are the purveyors of wisdom, those who seek answers while staying true to their roots.
The Dwarves, they who are dedicated and tenacious, unto whom the Gods granted innovation and resilience, are engineers, inventors and forgers. Capable of tapping into the very essence of the materials they're working with, any Dwarven-made technology or artifact are of unparalleled quality and efficiency, which makes it highly coveted and obscenely expensive.
The Beastfolk, free-spirited and aggressive, the Gods bestowed their instincts unto them. Beastfolks are highly perceptive and alert, they are in tune with their strong instincts which allows them to predict and take action before an event happens.
To the Demonkin, bold and disciplined, the Gods bestowed their ferocity and honor unto them. With their strength, the Demonkin shall overcome any battles they come across.
And lastly, the humans, curious and determined, the Gods blessed humans with adaptability and indomitability, for they are meant to survive and thrive in the unlikeliest of environments and eventually conquer it.
-
With world they've created, the Gods intended for the races to live in harmony, with each race bringing out the best others and compensating for their flaws.
Conflict is inevitable, yes, but it would serve a purpose of forging stronger bonds and understanding once the fire of war takes its course.
Despite creating the world and its inhabitants, the Gods had a rule of non-interference. They will bless their children, but they will not guide them for it is their duty to find purpose and strive to fulfill it.
However, in their infinite wisdom, the Gods could not foresee resentment and sadness that took hold in the hearts of their children. They could not foresee the consequences of their self-imposed rule.
They could not see their sins.
