Chapter 1 - Pilot Episode: Case number 22-12: “The fixer”

Mu Jin could hear his phone going, "I have another name for you."

"Ah? Xiao Hu didn't you—"

"The Fixer, he's in town." Xiao Hu chuckled, "I imagine your police station wouldn't want to lose a big fish like him."

Mu Jin rose from his bed, "What do you have on him?"

"He's a fixer, which means he fixes things for people, for money—course this isn't legal, or at least now it wasn't." Xiao Hu explained, "He keeps records of his clients mishaps and pays, I imagine that—you'll be able to punt some high listers."

Mu Jin sighed, "How much is this going to cost me?"

"Nothing, I'm not charging you." Xiao Hu replied, "His latest client is the daughter of Jung Lao, Jung Su Shin."

Mu Jin could hear the phone hang up, "Mysterious as ever."

Mu Jin got up, ready for work, and he explained to his boss, Madam, the information he knows.

"Seems like a worthy enough case." Madam spoke, "Your fame isn't to be underestimated."

Madam transferred from the Internal Major Police Station, in the Central Capital, or I.M.P.S. For short.

"Thank you, Madam." Mu Jin replied, "I'll—"

"You don't have a partner, do you? Take the rookie I brought with me." Madam interjected.

Mu Jin sighed, but agreed, not like he had much of a choice in the matter—especially now.

Mu Jin's partner is named Qin Suzy, she's half eastern and half western.

Mu Jin could hear his phone, "Xiao Hu."

"Ah, I heard about your partner. She might be a rookie but she's through her in her connections, her aunt is the Big Madam of I.M.P.S. And her father is the head of Qin corp, and her mother is a skilled nurse and former killer of Dragon's way." Xiao Hu spoke, "She's on the list of potential criminals and I should inform you of that."

"Anything on the Fixer, client." Mu Jin spoke.

"Good, you should know, Jung Su Shin. Aida, what a wretched girl, she's beaten so many men to death because they refused to be with her—an addict in liquor and even worse, she's been anodizing taxes for years, any money that should've gone to good people end up in her hands, she's been the list of potential criminals since eight years old." Xiao Hu explained.

L.O.P.F.C or List of potential for criminals for short, a list Xiao Hu complied. Or so Mu Jin understands anyways.

"Thanks, Xiao Hu." Mu Jin replied, before hanging up.

"Xiao Hu? Is he a member as well?" Qin Suzy inquired.

"Don't worry about it." Mu Jin remarked, "Even if you ask around, you wouldn't get much luck to begin with."

Mu Jin begins driving, as he arrives at the location, "Don't mess it up or get killed. I can't afford to offend your family, really—I can't."

Mu Jin arrives at the top floor, holding up his gun, "You're under arrest, anything you say or do shall be used in a court of law, you have a right to an attorney, and be respected in a court of law."

The Fixer and Jung Su Shin were forced to be locked in handcuffs.

"This is illegal! You don't have the right to be in here!" Jung Su Shin shouted, "You don't have a warrant!"

"I do." Mu Jin spoke, "It's right here before you, there is plenty of evidence, to pin both of yourselves down, I do hope confessing to other crimes and aiding police investigation will possibly lower your sentences as well."

Mu Jin lowered his gun, placing it back into the gun holder, "Mu Jin Sir, why didn't you call for backup?"

"I wouldn't have needed to, backup was already there, in the building across from here." Mu Jin remarked, "Stop asking so many questions, that will only get you into more trouble."
