*~*Lex's POV*~*
I was standing on the steps of the courthouse, waiting for Talia and the others to arrive. The moment I saw the car she was in, I felt my heart begin to race. No, racing was the wrong word. Was that a flutter? It was strange. I wasn't scared or nervous. I was excited. And I wasn't a little kid, or a girl, so why was I fluttering?
When I saw Talia stepping out of the car, I think I understood. The anticipation had my heart fluttering for this very moment. When I saw how beautiful she was, it all seemed to make sense.
I gasped audibly when I saw her, and I heard some of the others laugh softly behind me. It didn't affect me though, my eyes and attention were glued to Talia. And when I saw how excited and happy she looked, as well, it made me realize that we were indeed making the right decision.
"Hi." Talia said the one word nervously and tentatively, when she stepped closer to me.
