A little bit of a fun chapter with some spoilers for the upcoming arc. Just a little something to say I am still alive. I kinda wrote this while studying for Aeronautics and Astrophysics I also felt like giving a bit more background and making the oc vehicles and things more fleshed out. Anyway I probably worked on this a bit more than I should so I will upload it at first as a original chapter then post it in auxiliary later on.

The MRSF-700 Eagle or Multi-Role Strike Fighter-Space is commonly referred to as the "Eagle". Is a heavy strike craft that is able to perform multiple tasks while dispatched in combat. The MRSF-700 has two variants the standard MRSF-700 used for in-atmosphere engagements, and the MRSF-S-777 the Multi-Role Strike Fighter-Space similarly dubbed the "Golden Eagle" due to the gold tracers of bullets that leaves its coil guns.
Introduced in 2520 originally planned to be implemented as a one-seating jet craft for Spartan-II graduates only around 20 were built. Instead, once the declaration of the Human-Covenant war engineers got to work redesigning the air and spacecraft to be a two-crew craft for normal non-augmented humans. Though only 400-500 were produced with only a couple of original one-sitting versions replacing damaged or destroyed in the fighting or in training. There have also only been 81 Space fairing versions produced due to efficiency in space dropping. The most probable reason for the decline in ability is due to weaponry and speed because of the fact that though the weapons are good against fighters and boarding ships they are very weak against ship-to-ship combat. As well as the point defense on most UNSC ships handling most fighters.
Though the Eagle is lacking in space and is currently thought to be getting a replacement with the 𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐃 program. In the air, there is no better fighter for its ability to provide close-air support as well as air-to-air dog fights. All pilots given the privilege to fly the fighter have all given raving reviews, and its pilot survival rate is one of the best in the airforce. (Image of a "Flock" of Eagles)
"It's practically a flying tank. The Eagle has all the agility of a Long Sword with the armor of a Condor but weaponry of a Sparrow-Hawk on steroids."

𝟐 𝐆𝐀𝐔-𝟖 𝐀𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐬 - That GAU-8 Avenger is a 7 barrel Gatling like auto-cannon. Chambered in 30 x 173 mm ammunition and can be either Armor Piercing (AP) or High Explosive (HE). The AP variant makes use of either tungsten or a depleted Uranium core designed to pierce through heavy armor. The GAU-8 fires at 4000 rounds a minute or 65-70 rounds a second, however, has multiple selective switches of firing speed so as to conserve ammunition and power. The GAU-8 has been a famous and great weapon since its introduction back in the late 20th Century. (Images of Ammo and Gun included)
𝟐 𝐀𝐈𝐌-𝟏𝟓 𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐬 - The AIM-15 Sidewinder missiles are short-range air-to-air missiles that use a combination of heat-seeking, radar, and Inertial guidance systems in order to track a target. They are 200 pounds 9 feet long with a 40-pound warhead and enough explosive power to knock out Covenant Vampires with a single hit or destroy a Phantom in 2-3. They are the next successor in air-to-air missiles attached to fighters and other dog fight capable craft. Each missile pod carries approximately 9 Missiles with some having an extended capacity for up to 12 Missiles. (Image included)
𝟒 𝐀𝐒𝐆𝐌-𝟒 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐬 - The ASGM-4 Rockets are air-to-surface and air-to-air non guided rockets. Predominantly used on the AV-14 Hornet are 40 pounds and are 5 feet long. Notably, the rockets though long are quite slim having a much smaller diameter when compared to the AIM-15 Sidewinder Missiles. Combat reports state that 4 of these rockets can take out almost every covenant ground vehicle, especially enemy Banshees. Rocket Pods for the ASGM-4 carry around 32 ASGM-4 rockets in each of them, and unlike the AIM-15 Sidewinder rockets, there is no needed delay between each rocket fired. (Image Included)
𝟑 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝟐𝟕𝟑 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐬 - The Mark 273 is the inverse of the Mark 208 Gravity bombs used in carpet bombings by the B-65 Short Swords. Instead of using multiple smaller bombs to scatter damage over a wide area. The Mark 273 Cluster bombs instead opt for concentrating explosive power in one bomb for pure destruction. With these different specs, the damage may not be as widespread but instead conserves space and decreases weight. Each Mark 273 Cluster Bomb are between 500 and 2000 pounds and can be detonated through Laser guidance, Remote detonation, and GPS guidance, and can be unguided a bomb as well. (Image included)

𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬:
-The survivability rate of ejection from the "Eagle" is around 68%. A far cry from the 20-30% of the Sparrow Hawk and similar VTOL air-ship the AV-14 Hornet.
-The survivability rate can be attributed to the Tungsten and another Nameless material that covers the bottom and sides of the cockpit given the name "The Coffin" by pilots. Due to the fact that if that part is breached the cockpit will become the flyer's coffin.
-Currently, there is only 1 single-seater "Eagle" in active combat and has been requisitioned by Spartan B-### approved by the ONI High Command due to his participation in Battlegroup Leviathan's task of being a relief/rescue force for the colony of #######.
