He marched us right into the conference room where his father was already with Linda. "Do you just plan to ruin my life, constantly or is this some sort of natural talent? How dare you hire Kol?!" Liam pretty much hollered at the top of his lungs at his father. I've never seen him so angry before. He has raised his voice at his father in the past but this was different entirely. It was downright feral. He might as well have gone full wolf form and lunged for his throat. Poor Linda seemed terrified. I almost felt sorry for the girl. For some odd reason, I didn't though. H*ll, I think part of me is glad she's scared. It took a hot minute for Harold to speak. He had opened and shut his mouth several times as if carefully trying to decide his next words. "We should discuss this another time. Right now you are scaring our guest, Liam." He scoffed. " I don't give a f**k and I will discuss whatever I like whenever I like Harold. Linda is free to leave the room. She is not the one I'm going to beat the sh** out of at this moment. You will fire Kol immediately and never allow him anywhere near here again. Or so help me i will make sure we are all homeless by the end of the week." I wanted to step in and say something. Anything to calm him down but not even I could argue against what he wanted. Kol staying here is not ideal at all. "Liam settle down. Linda does not have to leave. She can do whatever makes her comfortable and feel safe but your yelling is not helping. It is uncalled for. We can discuss this civilly. Kol is here to help out with Linda's situation. You're old enough to be mature enough to put your grudges behind you and move on with life. Deal with your responsibilities like the adult you are, Liam. I will not be firing a diligent employee because of your childish antics. And Kol has every right to be here. He is just as much supernaturally unique as you are. Now if you are not going to be helpful with this. I suggest you go find some other way to put your talents to use. Being irrational is not one of them." Harold stated sternly. I know he is his father and all but that was harsh. Liam turned as if going to leave and in the next moment he had knocked his father to the floor with one single punch. "You want immature there you have it." He spat. "Don't ever speak to me again. We are done, you hear me? From this day forward, you are dead to me old man." He headed for the door, leaving everyone in shock. Linda shuddered in the corner before turning back into a cat and curling into a ball over there. As if she was trying to make herself invisible. Liam stopped just before opening the door. His breathing was heavy. He turned and looked at me. As if he were studying my reaction to his outburst. I was just as stunned as everyone else. He never laid a hand on his father before. Not even after he separated us for so many years. He tolerated him and gave a little attitude here and there. It was to be expected. They weren't besties but he at least still did almost everything his father asked us to when it came to this place. Now I was unsure how things would continue after this. One thing I knew for sure is I am definitely taking his outstretched hand. We left the room together hand in hand. He didn't utter a word. Just lead us away and soon did I notice he was leading us outside. Out of the place his father loved more than him.
