Chapter 3 - 3rd layer of the Common Law Warrior stage

_

After cultivating for an hour using the cultivation method mentioned in the 'Unparalleled Nine Firmaments Severance Sword', Sun Kang's new body suddenly broke through into the 1st stage of Common Law Warrior.

Then he opened his eyes and said to himself, "Now that I have broken through into the first layer of the Common Law Warrior stage, I can start using the basic laws of the world in my attacks."

"But I am still a rather helpless and weak cultivator. Therefore, I need to cultivate more to break through to higher stages so that I can start using the battle and movement techniques mentioned in that sovereign sword art."

"But the cultivation method mentioned in the Severance Sword Art is actually really powerful. Just an hour in, and I have already broken through into the first layer of Common Law Warrior, something that should have taken me several hours to accomplish."

"And this can only mean that if I continue cultivating for the next three hours, I might be able to enter the third or fourth layer of the Common Law Warrior stage."

"This is just excellent!" Sun Kang said with absolute gladness in his tone.

He then closed his eyes to resume his cultivation.

...

The Cultivation Universe of this world is one that consisted of a million Minor Planets, ten thousand Major Planets, and a hundred Grand Planets. Then found orbiting around each of these planets like satellites, were planes that numbered from tens to thirties.

These planets, were classified based on their sizes, availability of rare and consummate cultivation resources, rarity of weapon-forging and artifact-building materials, then finally, denseness and purity of Origin Energy which was what most cultivators fully relied on to grow in power. Especially energy cultivators called Origin Cultivators.

Minor Planets which had the thinnest Origin Energy of the three planets, and really less valuable cultivation resources, had a diameter of 500,000 kilometers, then a land area of 200 million square kilometers.

Major Planets had sufficient quantities of Origin Energy and were really rich in valuable cultivation resources. Also, they had great numbers of excellent materials for building or forging marvelously powerful treasures. While fearsome and really dreadful experts who could invoke astoundingly great storms and summon endless torrential rains, could be found residing in this type of planet in large numbers.

Major Planets had a diameter ranging from 500 million square kilometers to 800 million square kilometers, while their land areas ranged from 2 billion square kilometers to 5 billion square kilometers.

Then Grand Planets, where indomitable and frightening, phenomenal god-like existences inhabited, were planets extremely rich in dense Origin Energy.

Origin Energy was overly abundant that it became the air that everyone breathed. Then because of the great pressure exerted by the tremendous amounts of Origin Energy found in this type of planet, no mortal could be found living within them. And this is simply because they will be instantly killed off by the colossal pressure exerted on nearly everything by the dense, ubiquitous Origin Energy.

But, the pressure was actually so great that only cultivators from the World Law Master stage could reside in it.

And who are these World Law Master-stage experts? They are proud and lofty experts found in great numbers in Major Planets.

But in Grand Planets, they aren't regarded as anything as they are seen as people next to mortals. Meaning that they are the mundanes that filled this kind of world.

Then due to the shockingly large amounts of Origin Energy that was visible to the naked eye and constantly roiled like waves of the sea in the sky, extremely valuable cultivation resources and supreme treasure-forging materials were birthed in great numbers deep within the earth.

Planets of this classification had a diameter ranging from 1.5 billion kilometers to 4.5 billion kilometers. While they had a land area ranging from 6 billion square kilometers to 9 billion square kilometers.

As for planes, which were simply large pieces of lands that could stretch for millions of kilometers, could be grouped into only three. They included; Small Planes, Large Planes and Great Planes.

Small planes had a land area of up to 5 million square kilometers, Large planes had a land area that surpasses 30 million square kilometers, while Great planes had a land area that can go beyond 70 million square kilometers.

Then residing on these Small Planes were minor powers, on the Large Planes were major powers, then on the Great Planes were great powers which included formidable powerhouses that can effortlessly dominate the minor powers and major powers found on the Small Planes and Large Planes.

Then found on the Minor, Major and Grand planets were continents that can be classified based on their sizes. These included Lesser Continents, Greater Continents and Supreme Continents, with Lesser Continents possessing less than a thousand cities, Greater Continents possessing more than a thousand cities, and Supreme Continents possessing tens of thousands of Cities.

Cities which can be found in the Lesser Continents, Greater Continents and Supreme Continents of either planets or planes, included Small Cities, Large Cities and Grand Cities.

Small Cities were governed by a City Lord, Large Cities which were many times the size of a Small City, were presided over by a Governor, while Grand Cities which were a hundred times bigger than any Large City, were directly governed by a City Overlord.

So, in a Grand City called Prosper City, one of the largest grand cities on the Azure River Continent which was a Supreme Continent found on the minor planet that was the Green Sky planet, was an enormous building that stood so tall that it seemed to pierce through the sky.

This imposing building which will strike both fear and deep reverence in the heart of anyone that will look at it, was the highly popular 'Great Elephant-Dragon sect'.

This sect was a sect that had fifty thousand Outer Court Disciples, a thousand Inner Court Disciples, a hundred Core Disciples, then twelve Legacy Disciples who rarely appeared in public, unless for some paramount or glorious occasions.

Then it had a hundred Outer Court Elders who managed the Outer Court Disciples, thirty Inner Court Elders who managed the activities of the Inner Court Disciples, then six Core Elders who managed the Core Disciples along with the Sect Master who personally taught and trained them.

At the moment, a highly dignified man who looked calm like nothing in the world could cause him to waver or falter in his expression, could be seen speaking to a group of people that stood many feet before him with reverence filling the depths of their eyes.

These people, were actually the Core Elders of the sect that stood from the third-layer of Mortal Law Warrior stage to the ninth-layer of Mortal Law Warrior stage, while the dignified person that stood before them and exuded an intimidating aura of unseen fiery power from his whole body, was the Sect Master called He Yang, a cultivator at the ninth layer of Earthly Law Saint, which made him one of the strongest cultivation expert in Prosper City as experts at his level and stage can only be counted on one hand.

"Sect Master He Yang, we want to report the drastic decrease in the number of Outer Court Disciples of our sect."

"At least, we have lost close to ten percent of them." A bald, middle-aged elder called Qian Tian, said with unhappiness in his tone. He had the highest cultivation of all the Core Elders gathered here.

"What?! And what do you think could be causing this?" Sect Master He Yang asked with his brows furrowed.

Actually, any Outer Court Disciple that got killed was a matter of really less severity to him. But upon hearing that about ten percent of them had been killed, he couldn't help but furrow his brows in slight worry, as this kind of development could adversely affect the growth of his sect and ruin the great reputation that they had built and sustained over the years.

Once Sect Master He Yang asked that, the Core Elder who was reporting the figures to him and was called Qian Tian, replied after a few moments of deep contemplation, "I think some hidden factions in the city, or from neighboring cities who are totally envious of our grandness, illustriousness and prestige, could be the actual culprits of this."

"Their more powerful senior disciples must have banded together to secretly attack or ambush the Outer Court Disciples of our sect who were sent out to different regions within the outskirts of the city to gather assorted cultivation resources. And their objective must be to stop younglings that are aspiring to study at our sect from coming over once it's time for the disciple qualification exam."

"Hmm." Sect Master He Yang uttered with a calm expression surfacing in his face. No one could know or guess what he was thinking.

Then a second later, he looked at the Core Elders and said, "Starting this hour, anytime you send any Outer Court Disciple out to gather resources or to purchase items from certain shops for the sect, have an elder from the sect secretly accompany them. Then once they are in trouble or are being ambushed by enemy groups, the elder will come forward to rescue them. Am I clear?"

"Yes, Sect Master He Yang." The Core Elders said with the nod of their heads.

Sect Master He Yang then stood from his seat and said with intense coldness emitting from the depth of his unfathomably deep eyes, "As for those hidden scheming worms that you spoke about, they will surely meet with a terrible fate, I assure you."

Once he said that and without waiting for any of the Core Elders to say anything, Sect Master He Yang suddenly disappeared before them.

However, he actually didn't vanish like anyone would think, he simply utilized a powerful movement technique that caused him to seemingly vanish before the elders.

"Sect Master He Yang has returned to his room to continue his cultivation. We can all leave now. The meeting has come to an end." Qian Tian said and then stood to his feet to leave the room, while the other elders agreed and followed behind him to return to their respective rooms in the sects where they would resume their cultivation, or the comprehension of certain arts that they religiously studied to gain a higher-level enlightenment.

...

Several hundred miles away from the Great Dragon-Elephant sect, a young handsome boy who wore a particular tattered and ripped uniform that was stained heavily with blood, but was doing his utmost best to cultivate, suddenly opened his eyes with a bright glow of happiness emitting from their depths.

"I thought as much that I will break through into the third layer of the Common Law Warrior stage if I continued to cultivate." Sun Kang said and stood to his feet from his cross-legged position on the ground.

He then closed his eyes to look inwardly at his dantian. Immediately he did so, he could see a mountainous bundle of thick threads of a clear and dense, violet-colored Origin Energy circulating about within his dantian.

"Wow! My Origin Energy looks really dense and feels so thick, instead of the usual thin and hazy mist-like appearance that it is supposed to take upon reaching the third layer of Common Law Warrior."

"But the cultivation method for that sword art is tremendously powerful. Well, what can one expect? It's a method designed by a Sovereign expert who was the strongest and most formidable in his own time." Sun Kang said with a delighted glow in his eyes as he gazed sharply at the Origin Energy pulsing within his dantian.

Then with a single thought, he commanded a single tiny thread of that Origin Energy to move to his palm.

The instant the small thread of violet-colored Origin Energy surfaced above his palm and began to dance like a flame in the wind, shocking pulses of power began to radiate from it.

As soon as this happened, the air around him began to churn in a raging manner that it swept up large amounts of dust into the atmosphere.

Still dancing like a flame above his hand and incessantly emitting pulses of astonishing power, Sun Kang immediately dashed towards a distant wall of the cave. He then slapped that palm unto it with little to no physical force.

BOOM!

The large wall of the cave instantly disintegrated into dust upon making contact with that wisp of Origin Energy that floated above Sun Kang's palm.

"Awesome! The power of this simple attack can actually be compared to the basic attack of a fifth-layer, Common Law Warrior stage cultivator." Sun Kang said as he studied the degree of destruction that he brought about using that small wisp of energy.

He then said said further, "Once I am able to practice battle techniques from the Severance Sword art, I will be able to unleash a higher level of destructive power."

The instant Sun Kang said up to here, he nodded his head with a delighted expression appearing in his face. He then prepared to head out of the cave.

And as he did so, he muttered within himself, 'Before I will finally ascend back to the Blessed Tyrant Planet in the future, I will make sure my name, Sun Kang, is known to all the folks that inhabit this planet.'

"The birds of the air and even the smallest beasts that live within the ground and in the seas, shall know and tremble before the slightest whisper of my name." Sun Kang said with a great and insurmountable determination appearing in his eyes that gazed piercingly at the air.
