Chapter 3 - NO WOMAN HAD EVER HELD HIM SO CAPTIVE

Third POV

"What? Are you going to let me live here?" Wyatt said in disbelief.

"I'm terribly sorry, Master Wyatt. This is the only hotel in the vicinity that has any availability." Steven, the butler of Wyatt, bowed his head and said nervously.

When they arrived at the Silvergray Pack today, it was already late at night. On the way to the prepared castle, their car suddenly broke down, so they had to get out and start looking for somewhere to stay.

Steven looked all over the area, and the only place that still had a few rooms available was this small hotel. For his venerable master, it might indeed be difficult for him to accept this place.

"Never mind," Wyatt wiped his brow and asked, "When will the car be repaired?"

"The car has been sent for repair and will be ready tomorrow." Steven's answer was quick.

Hearing the answer, Wyatt sighed, "Got it, you can go and get some rest now."

Steven was relieved to find out that Wyatt had not counted on his mistake. "Yes, Master Wyatt. I hope you can have a good night's rest."

After Steven had left, Wyatt began to take a look around the small room. It contained a few pieces of furniture and the decoration of the walls and ceiling of this room was old and seemed to be somewhat outdated.

The only good thing about this room was that even though it was small, it was quite clean.

Wyatt went to the bed and lay down after he went into the bathroom and took a quick shower. It was quiet in the room, with only the faintest of lights flickering around.

The Silvergray Pack was one of the northernmost packs in the country. Compared to the bustling King City, it seemed a bit desolate. If Alpha King hadn't ordered him to conduct an investigation, he might never have set foot here in his life. When he's done with the mission, he'd better hurry back to King City.

Thinking about that, Wyatt suddenly heard a sharp knock at the door. He jerked his eyes open and sat up from his bed. He slowly approached the door and opened it cautiously, falling into his arms a thin girl.

Wyatt subconsciously caught her but did not let down his guard. He looked at the girl carefully and noticed that she had no weapons.

This made him a little confused. Was this a new assassination tactic, a beauty trick?

Wyatt looked down and examined the girl in front of him. She was indeed a beauty.

She had a slender figure, a slim waist, and delicate curves. Her small face had some redness, but it looked even more pitiful. Lips were softly colored and gently nibbled, looking very delicate.

Her eyebrows are picturesque and her long eyelashes are slightly curled. Beneath the delicate eyebrows, her two lake-clear eyes were staring unblinkingly at his chest.

She looked less like an assassin and more like a delinquent girl who was too drunk to go back home after a party.

Amused, Wyatt lifted her chin and asked, "Where did this stray puppy come from?"

The alcohol paralyzed Harper's brain, making her mind work unusually slowly.

She blinked slowly, completely unaware of the strange situation in front of her, and instead asked, "Who...Who is it? Why are you in my room?"

"I should be asking you that, shouldn't I?" Wyatt raised an eyebrow. This girl was even drunker than he thought.

A wave of dizziness hit her and Harper gave up thinking, desperate to get to bed. She pushed Wyatt away and said, "Forget... Forget it. Get out of the way... I'm going to bed."

Wyatt followed Harper, watching her stumble toward the room, but not stopping her. Since he wasn't sure who she was yet, he wanted to see what she wanted to do.

Harper took off the jacket she was wearing and began to unbutton herself as she walked over to the bed as if she were in her own room.

Before she was naked, Wyatt caught her wrists just in time. He frowned at Harper and said, "Hey, wake up girl."

Wyatt stood behind Harper, his warm breath hitting her neck while talking, causing her flesh to tingle. She tried to push him away, but lost her balance and unknowingly pulled on his collar.

This sent Harper and Wyatt tumbling together onto the soft bed.

After a spin, Harper shook her head and tried to support herself with her hands, but she felt something wrong under her hands.

She looked down and realized that she was on top of that strange man, with his firm chest beneath her.

At such a close distance, his face was easier to see. The accident had made his thick dark hair a bit untidy, but it did not detract from his handsomeness.

He has just the right amount of full lips, a high, straight nose, and long, thick eyelashes. Most amazing of all were his golden eyes, which were reflected in the fragmentary light above him right now, making them look like twinkling stars in the sky.

Harper and he looked at each other. Being so close together, they could even feel each other's breath and heartbeat.

Harper could feel her heart pounding faster and faster. All of a sudden, an inexplicable urge drove her to kiss his sexy lips.

The man looked very aggressive, but his lips were softer than Harper had imagined. When their lips met, it was like being struck by lightning and Harper felt her body heat up.

Wyatt didn't stop Harper but didn't respond to her either. He lowered his lashes and looked at her, and his golden pupils slowly started to darken.

Just as Harper was about to leave his lips, Wyatt suddenly rolled over and pinned her underneath him, deepening the kiss.

Wyatt put his hands on her waist, bringing her even closer to his hot chest. In such close proximity, her scent hit him like a hurricane.

It was faint, like the early summer lily of the valley, but it was alluring and deadly to him.

Wyatt teased Harper's lips with his tongue. She opened her mouth ignorantly, and he invaded and began to plunder every inch of her lips and teeth.

He kissed her so deeply, it was like a thirsty man in the desert suddenly finding the sweet spring water.

No woman had ever held him so captive.

There was only one answer. She was the one he had been looking for.
