Chapter 28 - Chapter 28 - Wrongly accused

Jian stood in the teacher's office with his head lowered. Three of the class teachers were discussing amongst themselves how he was the worst student whilst casting a few disdainful glances his way.

He should have been used to this. this look of disgust should not gotten to him. but it did.

'no one is on my side… absolutely no one.'

for the first time, he felt completely alone. Isolated from all the humans around him.

Tears filled his eyes.

'It... it has always been this way... why did I think it will change? my rebirth changed nothing. Everyone hates me... and I have to fend for myself all on my own.'

He quickly blinked it away.

'Why didn't I notice it? it was too suspicious for Bian to be that close to my bag... I should have checked it...' self-regret mixed with rage field his whole body.

He wanted to just run up to Bian and punch the hell out of him.

'What did I do to deserve this? Yes, I was disguised as a human and sent to this family. but what did I do? I did nothing! I never harmed anyone!' he bit his trembling lips.

"Are you crying? What's the use of crying? You do such dirty stuff!" a teacher tossed a pack of cigarettes at him.

Jian silently stood with his head lowered. 'This… this happened last life as well…'

In his last life he was once called up to the teacher's office and similar to this the three teachers had a long discussion. But it was not over cigarettes. It was over an explicit photo of him.

He tightly clenched his fist.

That sick person Nansich had bullied him so much in his past life, even going to the extent of sexually harassing him. he was made to take his shirt off and his pictures were spread to everyone.

When the school looked into it they 'accidentally; found out that it was all spread by himself.

It was completely impossible because he did not even have a phone back then. They all argued that he used Bian's phone to spread it and he was kicked out of school right after.

It was such a big event.

They had called up his grandmother, and she had beat him up so much that she broke his right hand.

'it's all happening again... this time over cigarettes…' he wiped his tears off. 'Why... why must I cry? I'm not at fault. I will not accept this.'

He raised his head and gazed their way.

"What are you glaring at!" his homeroom teacher tossed a bundle of paper at his face/.

Jian pushed it away before it could hit him.

"You! Look how much mess you have created in my staff room!"

Jian coldly glanced at the man. 'This is the same guy who accused me… what does he have against me'

This homeroom teacher had been on his back ever since he had joined high school. Weirdly, he was very sweet to Bian and would even personally tutor him.

Right on cue, the demon walked in himself.

"Teacher, please don't punish!" Bian ran in panting. His fair face was red and sweaty and his hair clung to his forehead, giving him an ethereal feeling. "He is not a person who smokes. I know…" he anxiously glanced at the homeroom teacher.

The teacher quickly walked close to him. guided Bian by his shoulders to sit in one of the chairs. "Why did you run like that? you know you get faint." His tone was soft and sweet.

Jian raised a brow. 'Ah, so that's what happened. Bian was hooking up the teacher.... no wonder I got bullied so much by this man.'

As if noticing his disdainful eyes, the teacher looked at him all fidgety. "What are you glaring at you bastard? Are you a thug? Smoking at such a young age!" the man came to hit him.

Jian stepped back. "that's not mine and I don't smoke." He said in a clear tone.

"yes, teacher Jian would never," Bian chimed in.

"You don't know, Bian," the teacher softly glanced at his stupid brother. "This bastard has been giving me those vibes for a while now. He most likely got into some gang," the man glared at him.

Jian raised a brow. "I don't smoke. How can you prove that I do?"

"We found this in your bag!!" the man screamed in his face.

He did not flinch. "it's not mine."

"You! So, you won't tell me the truth ah! Wait! teacher, call his grandmother! We'll see how long he can lie to us," the man victoriously grinned up at him.

Jian gazed down at the teacher with a small smile. 'Ahh good thing I dealt with that old lady this morning... wonder how she will react. Will she jump up and down like before? Or will she fearfully gaze at me?' he felt a strange sense of contentment.

"Teacher, please. Not my grandmother. she... she…" he gazed at Jian pretending to be anxious.

"It's okay. Call her. Only my grandmother can prove my innocence," he confidently said.

Truth be told, he wanted to see what kind of act his dear, dear grandmother would put on.

'Ah, this is so exciting. Why didn't I do this before? Taking the tame route is bullshit. if I have to live peacefully, I have to fight these fuckers head-on.'

As he was thinking of this another teacher was dialing home.

Bian could not seem to hold down his excitement. He ran to the teacher and asked to talk to his grandmother. "Grandma… it's not his fault. Please... please tell them not to punish him,"

"Bian, are you hurt!" her loud scream was heard even though the phone.

"No grandma... it's... it's Jian... we are waiting in the teacher's office."

"I'll come!" she shouted and the line went silent.

Jian smirked internally. 'The game is getting interesting.'
