Noah instantly panicked. It wasn't because he heard the news about Grace being pregnant, but because he was worried that Sarah might misunderstand him. "I swear I never touched her," he exclaimed, his eyes widening as he told the truth to Sarah.
"Did I say anything?" Sarah replied, feigning indifference.
"She must be sleeping with someone else," Noah continued, trying to explain himself to Sarah.
"Okay," Sarah responded. She then turned towards Aurora, lifting her up. "Let's go to your room. Dad needs to talk to Uncle Matthew," she said, walking towards the door that connected the two rooms.
Noah's lips formed an instant smile, touched by Sarah addressing him as "dad" to Aurora for the first time.
"Sir," Matthew called, interrupting Noah's momentary happiness.
