As Noah gazed out at the scenery through the glass wall, the door was suddenly flung open once again. "What did he mean by us being legally married?!" Sarah shouted, demanding an explanation.
Noah glanced at Matthew, who stood at the door looking guilty. He nodded subtly, indicating for Matthew to leave the room.
"We are legally married. I never lied about that," Noah explained calmly.
"No, I don't understand. The certificate was obviously fake, so where the hell are we legally married?!" Sarah's disbelief was clear in her voice. She had always believed they were never married, thinking that Noah had deceived her for a month before she ran away from him.
"Who said that?" Noah stepped forward, approaching Sarah, who was visibly angry. "If you believed those rumours without even asking me, that's your own fault. I registered our marriage even before you signed our marriage deal," Noah's voice carried a stern tone, reminiscent of his previous demeanour.
