"Sir, the chairman's man is already lurking around the company. Don't you think this is risky for you?" Matthew asked. It had been a week since Noah had decided to become a manager at his own company, which he had kept hidden from his father, Jacob.
Noah scratched his chin as he continued to read through the documents for the upcoming Teda Group board meeting. Matthew couldn't quite read what was on his boss's mind, despite having followed him since his days at the overseas branch.
"Check his schedule. If it is possible, I wanted to meet him today," said Noah suddenly, raising his head. His expressionless face gave Matthew a chill down his spine.
Matthew quickly nodded in response to Noah's order, feeling a sense of unease at his boss's sudden change in demeanour. "Yes, sir. Right away." He quickly went to the door but paused as he reached the knob. "Sir," he said, hesitatingly.
"Hmm," Noah's look remained unreadable.
