I drew runes on my bedroom floor. Trying to get in touch with the flow of light in the earth to see if I can travel through it to find the old one.
He was the answer to everyone remembering Xerek and Ywain. I needed to find him and have him undo what he did, to give my beloved a chance to mourn his friend.
I placed the man's portrait in the middle of the circle. I sat down on the ground and crisscrossed my legs, rested my hands on each of my legs, and closed my eyes to focus.
I felt the light coursing through my veins and directed it to the runes on the floor. My soul travelled through the pathways the light showed me which led me to a lake in an unknown corner of the four lands.
I looked around for any sign of the man or Xerek. Now that I knew I was dealing with the old one, I needed to find out how he controlled Xerek to stop him.
