Gu Luoxin was helping Jin Jiuchi back to his feet when he witnessed Shen Nianzu's abrupt crash to the ground.
The impact was so forceful; it was like the wheel of a heavy truck rolling over a large puddle, splashing dirty water in every direction. After that, Shen Nianzu remained ominously still for two full seconds, while their target, Captain Rick, seemed to grow more distant with each passing moment.
'It's over!' Gu Luoxin thought with a surge of panic.
For some reason, even though Shen Nianzu did not move, Gu Luoxin seemed to see an increasingly dark and menacing aura emanating from the man's body.
