Lucius blinked, taken aback by that compliment that had come out of nowhere. But before he could utter anything in response, Gu Luoxin let out a startled squeak when he felt a pair of rough paws seizing him from behind, yanking him away from the steel cover.
"Xinxin, what are you doing ciit?!" Caen's voice rang out with urgency. "That black cat is dangerous, I can feel it. Don't get too close or you will be hurt ciit!"
Seeing that he was about to be dragged away, Gu Luoxin's pupils shrank and he struggled by reflex with all of his might. "N–No! Let go of me ciit!" He knew that Caen meant well by doing this, but right now Gu Luoxin couldn't find it in himself to be grateful. It was not easy for him and Lucius to meet in this Cycle, what if they got separated from each other again?! No, he didn't want it. He must not let it happen!
