Determined to make this his new base, Ceazar set out to make the cavern habitable. The first task was to chop down trees and haul them back to the cavern to use as fuel for warmth and light.
Ceazar spent some long days and nights chopping wood and hauling it back to the cavern carefully while on the lookout in case of danger is near. He was tired and sore, but he knew that this was a necessary task to make the cavern akin to home but still a base he could leave no problem.
Once he had enough wood, Ceazar began to build a fire pit in the cavern. He carefully arranged the logs and kindling, and with a single spark from the firebolt, the fire roared to life. The warmth and light were a welcome relief from the cold and darkness of the cavern.
But Ceazar wasn't done yet. He needed to make the cavern livable, and that meant finding a way to bring in fresh air and light. He decided to dig a tunnel from the outside of the cavern to the inside, creating a makeshift chimney. He did it near the cliff as that was the safest area.
It was back-breaking work, but Ceazar was determined to see it through. He dug and dug using his enhanced shovel until he finally broke through the surface of the cliff, letting in a stream of fresh air and light.
Now, with a steady supply of wood, warmth, light, and fresh air, Ceazar had transformed the barren cavern into a comfortable and livable base. He settled in, grateful for the hard work, and immediately started to plan his plans. For the past few days, he has also killed some monsters here and there netting him around 332 exp 6 boars, and a few rabbits. The exp from the boar ranged around 41-47 while for the rabbit it was a steady 5 no more no less. Sadly, he does not know the proper way to butcher and skin such an animal therefore he just took what he could and erased his traces whiled burying the dead animal. He hears the tiger sometimes, with its very loud roar, so he made sure to stay away from the tiger's area.
'Hmmm now that I can fully focus on getting exp let me analyze what I have observed so far'.
After analyzing where he has killed the boars and studying the behavior of the boar in the area, Ceazar came up with a strategic plan to increase his skills and gain more experience points.
First, he realized that the boar in the area were more likely to go to a drinking pool in certain areas and then eat tree nuts in the much warmer areas of the forest. He will mark these areas on his map and make sure to visit them regularly to singlehandedly kill them all. Since boars were coming from the portal up the mountain anyway. He could also stalk them from there but they may be too many of the boars.
Next, he observed that the boar were more active during certain times of the day. He adjusted his schedule to coincide with these peak hours and was sure to be there at those times to kill any unfortunate boars that get separated or choose to go solo. And so he prepared himself for the grueling hard work to come but since fate chose him to be awakened with this element then so be it.
As Ceazar patrolled the area around the spawning portal, drinking pool, and fruit or nut-bearing area of the forest. Ceazar also carefully observed the behavior of the evolved boars and the paths they took. He identified potential ambush points and set traps along these trails to catch the boars as they passed by. Since the traps were mainly very deep holes armed with earthspikes and wooden spikes sharpened from evolved tree branches. He made use of gravity and the impact it could do to help him. He also made sure to put signs noticeable by humans lest he accidentally kills someone which he is not yet ready to do.
With each successful kill, Ceazar grew stronger and more confident in his abilities. He knew that the road ahead would be long and difficult, but he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead in this world.
After successfully hunting down the evolved boars, evolved Kalaw, and evolved rabbits, Ceazar found himself with a large stockpile of raw materials. He had collected meat, hides, bones, and other materials that he could sell when he gets back.
With these raw materials in hand, Ceazar set to work, spending hours crafting and perfecting his gear. He experimented with different materials and techniques, constantly pushing himself to create the best possible equipment.
As he worked, Ceazar noticed that he was also gaining experience points and leveling up at a faster rate than before. He had become more skilled in combat, more adept at using his weapons and magic, specifically, the weapon he was using now is a sharpened femur of a boar he killed. So after such fights, he became more attuned to the rhythms and patterns of the boars which were mostly identical. Now Ceazar being able to do this means that he does not use traps as often and instead he uses his magical capabilities along with the bone dagger he made. He casts a firebolt right at the face of the boar to create confusion then cast an earthspike spell beneath the boar to keep it in place then jumps to poke the bone dagger straight to the boar's skull as he stays at the upper part of the trees. He may have failed a few times but he was still able to manage due to his body becoming stronger after the level-ups. He currently sits at
