Chapter 137 - 133 Ranking requests returned

You have adapted beyond normal human abilities. Skills that were locked due to humanity are now unshackled. Numerous alterations means you no longer just the race of human. You have become demi-human of the unknown abyss realms. You will still have a normal human appearance among blind humans but sensitive ones of lesser binds will be aware of your inhuman features. Monarch's Grace has upgraded to masquerade of a goddess.

It has been a long time since I had a prompt informing anything of this nature. I dont longer rely on the window system created by my sub conscience to cope with my not human parts of my soul. I am no longer after of my ability to see creatures of dreamlands interwind among living humans.

Nor do I even fear grim reapers or gods. No, rather I respect them for their duty and prayer for them to continue their unseen ways. Gone are the days I feared everything, the most vulnerable my soul had ever been when it first shattered into what I am. No longer to I rely on Curiosity to be part of my survival or case need for Omen's guidance. At best it's the title of Ender that makes requests of me in a rare occasional feel. But I have grown up and stand at my own strengths and weaknesses.

Equally, I still feel like a child learning more as new things appear from the law of time and space. Feeling as someone should when grounded in the laws this place rules over my soul.

She was dismantling a carcase of a creature. Fishing its guts for the remains of the victims that it ate. Having removed several clothus masks and cloth. It is just now a matter of any status necklaces and ring they were wearing. This is the request made by the headmaster before she left. Her stay in this forest has changed her. She finally has the last of the internal track checked through, finding a prince card ring.

The chess poker classes of clothus never made any sense to me, even when I became one of them and entered they're broken world.

She tied each mask to her belt and all the bling into a separate pouch for now. Not wanting them in her storage. She puts the organs of the slain back into the corpse and sews the creature back up. She pumps back it's heart and splashed something over the face. It awakened and ran away. She cares not in being covered in the gore. Taking up her surroundings and knowing a direction to take next. Following the fate threads of those that tie to her own life. She willingly plays a part to the way of the gods this universe has, knowing that her part in their greater schemes is all in process of recycling tomes that fell into this vast broken space time universe.

"It is just another creep." she exits the brushes onto a human walking trail, finding herself at face to her beloved family. Her brother is guiding mother and the new father. She stares in bewilderment of them for a while and thought deeply of what she should be reacting.

"Leana, you found those missing clothus yet?" Her grandpa at the back of the group making voice to knowing its her.

"I did but I cant work out which one was the crowned prince." She pulled herself to a better human appearance with stepping in joining the group at the side, "They were as I excepted, ate by the guardian." She sees her mom is passed out now. She stares sad of such a reaction from someone so close to her human heart. She ached in having felt bad for hurting her mom, and has to just move on, "But I suspect a few the clothus are ate but rather being chased about by the other creatures of this forest. The more terror one feels the closer a nightmare lurks. As that is how it always is." She takes point of walking ahead of them now. Letting them be.

"What are the not trees?" Her brother rushed to walk at her side.

"Well depending on your source of information, they have many nicknames. The not deer are the same race." She voiced, "Not exactly wendigo's or skin walkers. As they are a separate set of things of law."

"A forest made of monsters." He notes.

"There are real trees and a real forest among these fakes. Its humans that are the only race that can walk the real world without knowing the fakes. This place is a trap for those that aren't human, souls that cant be real in among real living world. If you tune yourself to the way the air breeze moves, take stop of the sounds of the brook and leaves. The occasional deer, bear or bird. You will be returned to the living world, unable to see the fake things among." She turns back, "That's what happened to mom. She been returned to the living realm and we walk the spirit world." back forwards with following the trail.

"SO the threat of being attacked by a grizzly bear is real?" he asked in concern.

"yeah... we passed the den four trees ago." She voiced and his even more alert then before. She smirks at that. He soon knew she was messing him a little but is very alert of the truth a bear is still a possibility. This wasn't a problem as they made it back to the iron gate of the school grounds.

"We aren't in Florida anymore, for sure. I think we in the Smokey mountains of North Carlina." She closed the gate behind them and waves away the following creatures that been protecting them in their quest. She tossed payment their way and back forwards of how her family were back to sense. She kept out of sight, walking around them and over to a building to sort the request paper forms. Earn the payment reward for finding the missing clothus. She had other minor request handed in too, lost weapons or material gathering requests. She brought a whole moose from her storage as that was one the requests. A real moose, not a pretend copy. It weighs a ton and stank up the place.

"You're a professional." The guild receptionist was quality checking the meat, hide and bone structures. A very instant death with a knife through the skull, which is not a very human way of dealing with such thick skulled living realm creature. The pay was quintupled for the moose. Fairing the clothus request was a lower reward for not bring the clothus unharmed. With all the stamps ane high quests cleaned, there isn't anything worth her time or ranks to bother with. She take this time to better clean up her appearance and rest. A proper meal, decent sleep and a long bath was on her mind.

"Talk him out of doing the next request." Omens made his three eyed bird sit on her left shoulder, without permission of talons resting on her.

"You know I can't meddle." She speaks in language, "I am an outsider ranker. Outside of fate's control. If I were to put even a claw in cutting the time event from not happening, the consequences." she stops with removing him off her and rested him to a lone table in this guide hall, "You have the ability to stop him within the matter of legal law. He will still respect your will, even as an ender. He will never stop even if he has to be a corpse to do it." She sees the god not understanding this, "I can't break rules to explain why." She leaves him there, taking herself to the daylight of the living world. Her human shape was all to see and clear to tell she is a breathing person.

She faces forwards with taking the building around to the human side, to use the open access shower room. For a while left alone to her own self care. Washing away the many gritty dirt patterns off her. The water here is full of blessing and sourced with sacred cleansing. It wiped away many curse binds she had held. Breaking many of her sin chains. There still that main one that is made of small ones, all connected to outside this universe. Its a chain she held at her hand feeling the depths of her souls many fragments. She heard someone coming in and now turned off the shower before her. She pulled a clean towel from storage and takes exit once bundled up.

"You never going to be king." a bunch of brats bullying a Glader. She rolled her eyes in having heard it all. She snaps time to pause and ear pulled the bullies each. She then pulled the kid from the floor and makes sure the Glader is fine. With a little soft pat. She clicked time back, hand on the shoulder of the child she rescued.

"Leave Darkwoods. Leave before I send you all someplace darker then any hell." They all flip out and scatter leaving this shower room. She sighed and flustered a left hand, "Anwyay, later Glader of cursed mask. Don't let them weigh you down. They are blind and uneducated. Unaware of their own masks and shadows reach." She notes that as she left, someone rushed behind her to help the Glader.

"Are you even human?" a blade at her throat. She sighed as humanly as possible.

"Piss off." She back hand the blade away and leaves to the changing room. She gave a last look back of the shower room and back forwards in knowing the fate threads knotting up in strange ways. It's a mess that she hasn't any business with, as the knots each have proper reasons to held together.

Fraying of the threads showing weakness of resolve and the need for things to be as they are. She evaded the rush of Curiosity coming to the rescue and the following smell of blood from the bathroom. She peers back once changed into proper clothing, starting in waiting who is to leave that shower room first. Knowing this will be a court issue among undertakers if not left without witness.

"Go in there." Omens hissed and perked her legs.

"Not yet." She picked him up, "he has a plan. I am not about to mess that up." Omens hissed and rushed in instead. The sound of the bird trying to stop something terrible. She isn't moved in the slightest, hovering at hope of staring at the doorway. A half haggard being barely makes the frame and was pulled back into that shower room. Shrieking for only a second and gurgled the next. The dirt of ashes powdered the whole room inside, which now allows her to step to the door to peer in.

"Breath." He shaking the Glader. She sees the state of the soul in here. How this Glader has no more ink to keep in the tome. Left behind a soulless corpse without a soul inside. She sighed at guessing this was maybe where her work slips in.

"His soul faded away, lost of energy and escaped beyond this universe. All you have there is a soulless living corpse." She informed them all, "but if a soul is what you need to put into that body. I might have a spare Glader kicking around." She sees the pure terror her presence brought them, "This isn't something a Death god can handle, not even for you." She voiced directly to the true title that stands stumped of this event.

"And why do you trade in souls?" he asked.

"I don't. I pick up lost ones and find homes for them. All my creatures are temporary vessels of such things. I am not unethical as the soul market of demon slaves and clothus." She glares at death, "I promise these souls a peaceful chance when I can find a fit for them. In return they do small tasks for me. That's my gift, my title. The duty I am. As you shepherd souls between. I find places they be." She speaks his language and he sighed in getting it. He posed welcome for her to do her part.

"Not everyday that the true title of death makes someone else do something related." Omen hissed, "What you mean you have a spare Glader? You just walk around plucking souls from no where."

She stares at omens with how he hits the target. That she indeed spends her ranking requests to seek lost worlds to find lost souls, plucking them and raising them for some other chance. She tears her flesh of her arm and it altered into a tome. Her bone visible as she trails pages of this flesh book. She makes her hand to claws, removing a soul name from the flesh book. It crystalized into the realm laws and then bursts as powder once she leans over the living corpse.

She back hand slaps the face as awareness kicked in. She rolled her flesh back on her arm. She posed that death needs to do some soul checks. This is what death does, removing the soul again and casting his divine adjustments. Soul back into the body, and this child stares dazed of the ceiling.

"Right John, you are now 19 years of human age. Living in boarding school full of supernaturally gifted and magic able students. You're a returned as a Glader. Someone next for the throne. You're island is in the dark ages with vague magical uses. Mattu here is the king's advisor and is fully aware of your mask shadow nonsense. Ok?"

"Fuck." He hissed and sits up, "And what happened to my last home?"

"You know... I don't remember." She sighed in thinking about it, "I think death's wife sank the island in rage with her sister. The universe was really messy with the true death missing. You would guess the place got taken over by clothus." He looked down in sorrow, "I still have 294 souls still going from your origin. Some of those are blood relations. They aren't human at the moment but they will come to find you and make you life hell."

"Well same as always." He looking at his hands, "Fuck."

"Johnathan is not Jake?" Death noted.

"They have the same thread, soul density and destiny. You can't argue that its a good match." She crossed her arms, "He cope fine with the shadow damned. They might even make his life easier with hints and escapes." death shook unsure of that part, "His part to play in whatever web of this universe has spun is still an active part in keeping things rolling among mages and humans. We make do with swapped souls more often then you like to think about." Death takes his gate and leaves at that. She sighed.

"You kept your promise." John said at her.

"I did." She removed a box from her storage with his name over it, "Here. It's all I can scavenge for now. But I will be making returns. You're original gods are still active things. I have to keep returning to make peace between them." She takes his right hand with hers. Marks of blessing are transferred to him, "There... you can help them as a human. You're humanity may even give them the ability to save you from harm. But understand that they have to respect the gods of the current, being demoted as half gods." he looked at the many marks and at stop of her, "I am still tracking your soul name as you have two true death gods in keeping of you. I want to prevent conflictive laws."

"So you found my original missing death god." She nods at this and stand straight, "What is the thing with a broken mask?"

"My other self." She replies, "I am part nightmare after all. Always standing watch is the reminder of things forgotten to be feared." she leaving the shower room and with a last look over omens, "Are you happy now? Now I have meddled in your games." Omens staring at the boy and then her, "You asked of this. You pay the cost of it. You made this deal with the abyss. I as the watcher, will be entertained for a while." She takes stop in remembering a moment and looking back to John, "Don't eat souls if you don't want me gutting you alive." John nods at that and stares down of himself in knowing why she said that. She properly is gone.

"What gives?" the vessel to the goddess of living hisses at Leana.

"It was put a soul in or have the entire mage society massacre the rest of the world in a slow demise." The goddess weighs this foresee vision and leave to consult with other gods about that exact matter. Leana pulled to her own mental map of this site. Although all the demon schools are the same sets of buildings in the same configuring layout. Its that the gates to eclipse world are different for each human world location.

In the Florida site of this school, the undertakers gate is inside the church. For this site of the Smokey mountain pass, this is located in the cave system underneath the schools basement. It's a no student access. Instead there is a heaven world that is accessible to students at this site. There isn't a heavenly realm for Florida access, its the demon realms sigil path that open access for Florida. This detail wouldn't matter to even the demons that run the school nor the humans aware of this. Yet its this crossing that makes for interesting creature mixtures to materialize among humans. How the nightmares of the Smokey forests come to attack humans passing in the national land of natural beauty.

"I really should get back onto that coach." She recalls what feels like a recent past, it has a stop here. She also felt her sense reach with checking in on other cog rankers that upon the foundations of this universes law. Such like the corpse collector in the hell realms, Styx soul that passes the god realms with the attach boat plus ferryman and the watch keepers scattered across realms. She was so deep into closing off her human sense to take check of the very gods themselves.

Once she felt satisfied of things, she takes a deep human breath and puts herself in human focus. She entered a hallway of the school and takes seat waiting at the headmasters office. She brought out a mug of tea and clutched the finished requests that been verified and stamped.

"Leana, you can go in." the human sectary voiced with looking at the girl as a young lady that was about to be enrolled. Leana pays no mind of the strange authorities staring that this human assumed is the correct action. Leana continues going straight into the office without batting any sort of attention to his guests or his lacking human appearance. She tossed the finished files at his front and shadow pulls a stool for herself. She savours her drinking tea as he takes a moment. He looked down at the finished files and back up at her.

"Leana, your someone with expert about souls." He closed hands at his front and leans forwards in posing hand at one of his guests.

"I don't see anything wrong with the strangers here. They all are within law binds. Even the mock clothus." She sips the tea.

"Well not what I meant." He sighed hard, "What are the classifications?"

"Nightmare crawlers of the dreamlands." She voice causally smooth, "Beings that are no different to demons that eat dreams. They are ghost law for humans. Sensitive humans would view them as they do the god vessels. Thus there isn't a problem here. There isn't any threat of problems. They only came here to shadow the recently near death student from the shower room incident. Another marked soul in my watch." She huffed, "Nothing a demon lord as yourself cant understand."

"So their a freak version of the damned. That's not anything to bad." He gets it at his own understanding, "Well if my god slayer hunter is not having any issues. Then I no longer have any problems of hiring you as low workers. I have done this with damned a few times. Just make sure that personal business doesn't make any humans complicated. Baring the exception of the one your seeking." the beings take human mock appearances and bow. They took leave. He looked at the files with gathering the most important to his attention. The office door is thrown with force as there is very mad Darkwood coming in to complain about the lack of death to a student they paid to have killed. The contract was nulled with how the kid did actually die and the original soul isn't present in the current host body. The headmaster expressing this to the Darkwood.

"You have to make a new contract to try to kill this kid. As by law, that isn't the original soul. A new soul means a new contract. That is the deal, but I want more payment this time. More then what you are able to offer." A real devil in the details this headmaster, as it turns out this is the brother of the Florida headmaster. They are siblings to the European counterparts in England and Russia. Ear marking the many human locations this school for mystic able students to attend. There is angelic versions of this school are located in; Africa, South America and across the other half of the Asian content. Putting a divide of eastern and western human world. This is how Japan's Yoki are a sub-class within heavenly divine classifications. Divine doesn't always mean good to humans. Gods are prime examples of being equal measures of conflictive.

"I will have to make my own arrangements." the Darkwood takes leave of the office. Slams the door and breaking the hinges. The door without hold teetered and flats them on the way out. The human sectary being a good natured human helps the Darkwood from the floor and was shoved harshly in return.

"Sorry that you were in the cross fire." Leana helping the lady off the floor. Picked up the door with her shadow ability. Sat the lady to her desk with checking over the hands and knees. A warm human shoulder pat and leaving the human to contemplate life chooses in being a demon's sectary. The door has new drilled hinges placed in and closing the office door behind her. She back on that stool, back with an now empty mug of tea.

"Leana will you makes sure that the forest is kept in control while you wait for any requests that mean your interest?" She nods slide the stool to storage and mug too. She gave a causal wave and takes leave.

"I am lost at what that human has over you brothers." the last person left in the office that isn't the demon headmaster.

"The monarchy of Notrum is a strange girl in human flesh and a terror in darkness. Even the gods of death have express unwillingness to be in her stare. Plenty of god eaters have fled and evaded her reach.

Things that eat those god eater find themselves among us. It's better to take cautious use of the soul then to let waste an opportunity to change. She will do without my permission if needs must. She just respectful of the lawful grounds and understanding. She will not break your awareness of the depth darkness lurks." the headmaster picks up a quill and began his writing to inform his siblings of her being here as a human. Noting the date, time and human world links. Once sent off by demon bat mail. He takes look to the undertaker god follower and the vessel of Omens. Another set of folks that made themselves appear as please without warning.
