"We will look after her, given we are her paternal grandparents." Doctors having explained what little they can for now and the summary of the house invasion that happened. Everything was understood and they were allowed to see her. The heart monitor has a glitched skip for a moment but it was back to normal rhythm which they could only conclude as the unknown drug causing heart skips. She was healthy otherwise. Mentally traumatized and some minor adjustments while they are trying to get it out of her body. The IV drips constantly through her. The air mask over her nose and mouth. She was sleeping a second ago, but stirred with the doctor talking about her. She looked at everything in taking in the atmosphere and knowing this was going to be a expensive bill they cant afford. She sits up of her own accord as the curtain opened. She measured them all and couldn't tell their faces apart from each other. Not even their body shape made any sense for her, but she way to relaxed in the negative energy to need a over reaction.
"Adults under the influence of this substance can't recognize faces and often scream about invisible things. She hasn't spoken a word since being here. The ambulance crew say she was listless in staring at strange places on the trip here. We can only conclude from samples that she is experiencing the same affects." the doctor continues, "I wish you luck. The button for help is at the wall. Until we can get her back to a small level in her blood, we cant release her. There isn't a study to say this isn't going to affect her for life. But the likely hood of future issues is there."
"Thanks doc." her father's side, that grandfather sits at the chair at her side, she studies him for a lot. He took something from his pocket and passed it to her. It was a black hard substance, she can feel the dark and harsh energy about this crystal and has already concluded it was a damned crystal. She rolled it about in her hand for a bit in judging the type of fear or negative it was. She looked up to her grandmother that closed the curtains now, being cautious of the lack of privacy this has. She looked back down of the crystal and danced it between her hands. Playing with its shape, changing its consistency. It was more a puddy at this point and her grandfather stared shocked. She crushed it to powder and dropped it to her shadow. She felt less hungry, the prompt about it confirmed such things. She swept the panels aside, she been hard reading the Clothus laws for a long time.
"I have some very important questions to ask of you. I need you to reply to me, I do not care about how you reply." Her grandpa lowered at her side, kneeling with putting a paper and pen, "I need to know if you have a book."
"I have a lot of books, if your talking tomes... I have a library." He didn't understand her at all. She had to draw a book shelf. She conveys a lot of book shelves.
"Ok... where is that?" he asked. She pulled her shadow into cloth material. He tries to touch but cant, "In this." He pointed to it and she shrugs as she couldn't really give a decent reply, "I am sure you know where that is and that it is safe." She puts the shadow back as it should be, "You have a mask?" She brought that out and had to put it back again as it wasn't in human shape. She pulled out a decoy for now and he seemed very scared but had to just accept that, "And you told no one your other names?"
"Lady Marionette." She spoke human at least for that reply. He stares a long time at her. He seems bewildered that she had already caused some sort of reputation for herself, but this wasn't something unchangeable yet. She blinked and he wearing his mask now. She takes it off him and inspected his mask in finer detail. The way this was made looked like a hand carved from clay and had painted details that normal damned don't have. A spider's web sort of netting at left eye side. She puts it back on him. He moved back since he was not prepared for that. Her grandmother steps checking her husband over and looking at the little girl staring distantly, clearly reading something not visible. It was her grandmother's turn and she swaps places with her husband. Kneeling at Lea's side.
"Can I look at one of your books?"
"No. You will upset them." her grandmother lowered slightly in trying to think of some other method, "It will bite you." her grandmother rolled eyes of knowing about the temper of the tomes. Even with several ways of asking and even asking if the girl was able to read the cover, her grandmother was getting no where to figuring out what section of books this girl has control over. At least they know she is a tome keeper and that they caught her before things could have been worse. And now some important moves had to be sorted. The chaos of the spirit world is in up roar over the talk of a clothus breaching law. Having all the tomes accountable was very important event to ensure that souls were illegally obtained.
"Message here." A black three eyed bird spat a paper to the little girl. She studies the bird and soon reached taking it from where it preached. Putting it to her lap and left hand at opens to read the note. Her right hand petting the bird, "Stop petting me." it complained, "I am not to be treated like some lower class." she closed its beak and still continued reading the letter. She tucked the paper, attached it as if it was her own skin. She lays back, taking the bird close to her. Still petting them. He honks aggravated and hissing. Trying to fluster out of her grip, but he could leave her grasp. It was strange for the god vessel to be ensnared this way. He turned to be now biting her fingers and she unfazed as it was a little game.
"Stop harassing one of my vessels." the bird was taken away by a feather cloaked figure.
"But your soft feathers..." She sighed in his language, "Here. feathers." She gifted a large long grey feather and several others like that. Angel wing feathers. Some very high level archangel feathers no less. The hues and left energy within these feathers were signatures that the ordinal owners were still kicking about someplace. She also has Lucifer's feather among them, a burnt blacked feather. There is a god eater's feather beside that, metallic chromatic sheen. Omens accepted the strange gifts, as he knew better to turn down very valued materials, in being highly aware that she did this to appease him.
"Lea, we going to come back tomorrow but you must keep this by your side while were gone." Giving her a chain, clearly a contract of an enslaved demon to watch over her. She tied it to her side loosely and peer back to the now disappeared god. Frowning that it could have been worse. She takes out a letter set with being alone now, and started replying to all these requests from gods like Death and Fate. She made sure to be very detailed about the side affects that has seemed to spilled by a Clothus tainted nature. A law breaker that breaks things for just breathing living realm air.
Although her grandparents try to tell her about the demon contract details, Lea wasn't paying any attention to it. They leave anxious of needing to get to the bottom of what really happened and the moves the Cult of void dreamers. Especially since this is was a child of both Fallown and Seer. Fallowns were the head humans of that creep cult. The Darkwood were poster faces for the cult in public awareness. They didn't make this their active concern, their three eldest children have thrown cautious to the wind at such a unstable spirit worlds. But this was a clue for one those three, it had to be followed.
She was left to her devices in her stay at this hospital. The more of the unknown substance leaves her, the more active she was at doing 'normal' things. Time rolled weeks passing, maybe a month. It were a blink of her eyes for her. Getting out of the substance grasp was proving to her immune system to be a challenge. But it was also causing interesting helpful changes to her spirit side. She was most days as her humans side, colouring in a colouring book if not busy being pen pals with gods and undertakers. She couldn't be forced summons as she was still unstable from her limiter release. Its thanks to the limiter being removed that she be still alive right now from the high dosages coursing her bodies.
"Beloved Mistress of the void lands, we ask passage to the realms. Only in your graces." Her mask lowered to peer at them each, this was the clothus she had requested to make god court appearance. She cast them all in the same binds as the clothus she has gifted to lady summons to carry for her. She binds also the convicts sins to weight judgement over the poker prince of this group, to feel the depth of what laws had been broken. Once this was made clear, she pulled a damned door up - casting them be seated in the gallery for god court waiting. She attached several god eater's to police them and aid in fetching any documents these clothus require for this summons. Better to let them play fair then to force them with no chooses. Especially in a court room.
"Breakfast time." A nurse putting a tray down at her front. She looked up from half dazed sleep to acute awareness of her human side. She lets her mask tuck back hidden within her domain and pulls deeper thought to her human side. She plays with the food then eating, looking to see if there was added drugs or off things that didnt belong to it. She didn't trust the eyes behind the nurse. The demon she was borrowing from her paternal side jumped and removed the spirit in the human nurse. They took their fight away and Lea pulls the tray away from her, really not trusting it. The uniform this lady is wearing, especially the male photo on her ID. This lady didn't look like someone transitioning. Another nurse nearby catch on and gets the stranger out of the children's ward. They had security take this person to be detained and the 'meal' was sent to be tested.
Lea's bed was now being moved to a private room as this was a show she being targeted for some reason. An appropriate adult stays in the room and her family was being informed instantly. There is a lot of people that are being asked questions, taken aside to a office and asked plenty of mundane things.
She was blending colours along this colouring book. The rough nature had her take a look up from the page, peering about the private room and the adult seated at the corner reading a book. She couldn't see the title of this book and she can't tell if they are human or not. She lowered back to blending. The door opened, a real human person takes the occupied seat. The ghost perfectly aligned of them. She continues indifferently. The chained demon servant's corpse underneath her bed, the broken remains of the contract chain sways loosely and there wasn't a any form of escape from here. She colouring in regardless of this observing factors. It matters not that outside the room was screaming, crowds of confused humans being evacuated out of the ward.
"You're the problem." She heard conveyed in the speaking of a spirit type. Still she coloured indifferently, "No one seems able to execute you." the book thuds harshly, "Why are you in the way of my rule? Why do you refuse to give leadership to the titles your gifted? You're not an innocent child, but a crude thing wearing humanity's flesh." She doesn't act to heard them in the slightest and colouring in her drawing. The smearing detail was photo accurate. She has never completed these realms before now, now this image was a perfected craft of soul dedication. She pets it in pride, feeling it was the escape she longed for.
"Not today." the spirit was speared through by an undertaker that crashed himself in here. Take proactive act to protect her. She holds the crayon tightly in being ready to fight if they dare. The human was knocked cold form the explosive blast from the ward. Air canisters had ignited, shrapnel evade them all but the smoke was healthy thick. She takes her picture with her off the bed and under the bed. As low as possible. The human guy dropped at the floor on her level but she to weak to save the innocent guy. She couldn't even wake the man. His ear was bleeding, a ruptured ear drum. She can't help him now. Only that they stay low and breath. She watched the dancing feet of the two struggling and the wisp of something floating appearing her. She moves away from this, holding her picture closer.
"You will have to do better then that. Maybe even beg for your petty little life." It hissed and her hand reach through the picture. A solid mass was brushed at her finger tips. She moved to better put herself to defend easier, "Aren't you going to scream? Cry? Beg?" She had something sharp from inside her drawing. The wispy cloth material latched around her, lifted her about the black smoke. The drawing slowly free falls underneath them both, causing the air to vacuum through it. The brown clay mask lowered bemused of a child's drawing, about to mock the art for being some landscape of nonsense. Give it looked away from her, she used the sharp item to slice through the cloth that had her lifted. Spraying dark red and grey liquids. A clean slice that made it look easy as butter. She lands on the bed and the figure screamed in terror. She holds the sharp item at the pint threatening but she was also choking from the sooty nature of the air. Getting off the bed to dive away from the thrashing being. The undertaker and the other attacker had paused for a moment in the shrill echo the thing had. Lea got the remains off her, making the material turn powdered as it makes contact to the living realm.
"What have you done to me?" She pulls the human with her from the flames building close. She was running on adrenaline, to more focused on survival over consequences. She manages to scuff the drawing with her, taking it as she dragged them.
"Hey!" A human nearby to help looking for others that haven't evacuated yet, "Here." Lifted them over shoulders, "Lets go." She accepted their left hand with her left hand. She holds that drawing and sharp item, looking back to the invisible folks left behind. The undertaker managed it out of there, the corpse of the demon under contract was dragged with him. The attackers worked together to try to escape the flames, but finds themselves in to bright a room to cast a damned door. The flames were divine, causing them both more pains and will be sooty ash like many others. Her cursed side was having the time of its life, collecting and scavenging the spirit corpses. The loot of corpse material and hunter gear was to temping to leave to tarnish in the flame.
She was seated on the back of an ambulance with a respirator, being checked over again by the rescue teams. Watching firemen putting the hospital ward in super soak. The police that were here for other things were now part of the effort to control the panic. She felt washed over by the lack of energy about it, that finally the rush to live was setting down. Sleeping deeply as the world dims.
