Chapter 64 - 60 Pandemonium

A greyscale world of sharp modern maybe futuristic features. It mirrors the best of what utopia futuristic world could become. The renewable energy, technologies that are grown instead of built. Towering skyscrapers that are cut from harden glass. The population is as business as always for city life. Together and yet divided too.

"Sleep a little longer. But if you are awake before I am back. I will hope you follow my letter." Lay's her Flatly into the coffin. Made sure that she was safe and comfortable. That the letter is tucked in both her hands. Another layer of material to pad her warm. The coffin lid gently closing down.

He sighed at relief, a depth of himself relaxed just a little bit then before. He pouts at wishing no to leave but he heard the crystal communication device buzzing a ringing of a phone. He glares at it and stood up. He peers over the missed messages. He clicked about the surfaces in replying and exits this flat quickly. The door locked behind himself. So quickly swamped with others in duty. Putting together a team for take down of another monster.

'If you want to keep holding stability in this existence, you going to have to continue in being an undertaker.' Sigil prompt shot something finally visible for her, 'You are currently under an undertaker binding spell. Used to sometimes punish or prevent an undertaker attacking others. The intent of the caster was to stop you running from them.' Very informative for her. It's enough to make her common sense and break from bewitched. But it's hard to use a new body. The way she moves isn't how she use to in any other form of humaniod. The very pull of soul threads is all she feels and not the limbs that the threads pull. It's not her first time being turned an undertaker. It's that her experience this time feels soul changing. Her very binding of her soul has adapted to this new life, not the disconnect distance she was in other universes. When she existed in other universes, it was being the one behind a gamer controller. This time she is the avatar inside the game. This changes her feelings to attachment. She decided to learn slowly. A pull here does this and a relax of this thread does that. She softly got the hang of it, she does have some experience in odd situations. Parting her hands, she did see a paper stamp letter. It very chunky of many papers. She careful opens the lid of this box and sits up. In this bare gloom, she can see better. The closed box was hard even for her damned sight. She opens the mail not reading it or letting any spell trigger contorl her. The front letter was exactly that and she shuffled to the next paper.

'If anyone askes, you are a trainee I have picked up. I would prefer you stayed here in this flat while I am off on business. For any reason that you do leave, please leave something of a tell how to find you. Tell no one who you are and play along as a newbie.' She knew whose handwriting that is and looked about the other papers. They are forms about her overall status and things that require her to gain citizenship. She tucked away his note to her chest pocket. She pocketed the curse paper loosely to her left lower pocket, a good prank on someone going to steal from her.

She takes a look from where she is about this flat. It's the makings of a fancy place, very full of things but tidy. Her clothes and armour are as they were. Nothing been removed from her and all her storage goods are as they should be. Even that order oath dagger from death. The place has plain blue humming crystals, devices on standby. The lights are switched off. It's gloomy without a source of main lights. She does feel strangely drained like a lit of spent energy that shouldn't have been. She lifted her right hand to balance herself and it cranks on the coffin edge. She looked to a new addition to her. A charm black cord bracelet with four god symbols. She knew deaths and omens. There a broken clock one and a damned mask. She figure this out later but it explains her tiredness. The charms are holding back her aura. Likely why sigil prompt to make sure she was ok. Just as she thought about it, the screen prompts itself with her new status. A bland overall scoring of her traits and characteristics as she is a learning undertaker. It details some basics things about her functional care that needs addressing.

Traits that are not keeping of an undertaker:

Hunger, although not a undertaker trait and it's wise to not tell others about. Being hungry is a bad thing even as a damned. Need to learn tolerance level.

Shadow manipulation; be one of shadow or use the shadow of other objects around you. Step without a trace or simply avoiding detection.

Endless pocket: you can store an entire world of things and not feel its weight or have any penalties. Items are time stopped when entered into your pockets. Manage storage with care, some items or materials can still react to other objects within even your own pocket space. You can entry this space through shadow. You currently carry inventory potential of 103 different realms.

Notice: Are you a Sigil merchant? You need to newel merchant license and update oath hunter status.

She suspected as much, someone is handling the sigil computer network. Upon peering to her bracelet, another charm forms itself. It's the crest of the highest sigil ranking there is.

"I appreciate that your trying to look after me. You are right, I should get up at least and take care of basic paperwork changes." She felt the coffin in hold new it is. The material and even the padding inside. It has emergency exiting features and is treated like a luxury bed. She then has attention to this material on her. It's a strange way to blanket someone, as this is cursed damned cloth. It's not her cloth either. The owner is awake and very focused at other things. The material in darkness shimmers with thier status and memories tattooed as pattern on there. She gently got out of the material but also respects whomever this was. Laying the mass comfortable. She has managed out the coffin, having worked out how knees work. She left the lid open. There is a purposely left stack of books at the side of her coffin bed here. The top was titled: welcome and guidelines of Pandemonium. She brushed the surface and shadow cast to quick read the content.

Information tab added: 'Pandemonium'.

She has not distracting gamer icons in her sight. This is sigils update for nonhuman use. Her mind can open and read tabs or have the tabs closed off. She can have a comabte focus screen, general menu screen and a non distracting general seeing display. She can use this to have sigil scan things she wouldn't have noticed. Like there being a light switch at the wall.

'Would you light to turn a light on?' She dismisses this prompt. She fine in the shadow gloom. It be inviting attention if someone noticed Curiosity's room light on. There be secret security around here. His a cautious person. So she cloaks the material from the coffin on her shoulders to prevent anything annoying. Holding it gentle as she learning to stand and be use to walking. She makes it to the sofa. A living room with basic tv crystal and he spends a lot of time tinkering on this coffee table here.

"On low volume. Turn the TV on to something informative." She whispered and the system does exactly that. The blue hums into colour and channels are flipped. Stopping to a news station. It's similar to the living world, talking of stocks and businesses. Services transport delays. Talk of the monarch competition being a mix result. Down playing the event being Interrupted by a cursed summoned creature. It's reported a unknown hunter of oath slain and removed it. There was no causality. And segments into statements the kingdoms gave about it.

She peers at how there a lot of books around. Shadow cast and added all this scanned information onto her sigil system. There was errors occasionally of some protection cursed preventing scan reading. Or that the system has no way to read the language. But she can, she manually began to read those ones. She stays relaxed long enough but does feel hungry. Putting the books where she found them all as they were. It wasn't anything that new for her, spellcraft from Galders to summoning creatures. There is a few tomes that didn't belong to this universe around here. A lot of telling things he must be doing in his free time. She had even opened a locked curse box of tools. She has her own versions of these tools. The prompt was afraid of these items but she closed the box not interested after that nosing about. He has four long wardrobes. One is armor kit as a oath hunter. One is casual clothing. One is his god follower stuff. The last is strictly uniforms of many undertaker departments, such detail was explained in the welcome guide and was obvious from the forms for citizenship. She had a copy set for a merchant identity but she has the other set half filled out since maybe he had plans. She had the TV turned off and was inspecting other parts of this flats utilities.

A bathroom which was a mess of medical supplies, laundry and two different bath tubs. There is one that is a natural water that cant be stopped and is always flowing, a spring realm minerals. It suits being a outdoor bath but this flat doesnt have an outside. Then there a private filtered water with a stop plug drain. Double sink. No toilet? She did look around, indeed no toilet.

There was a tab about this. Given undertakers only drink liquids and only care about maintaining the clay layers of themselves. They don't eat food. They do reapply and technically speaking eat clays. They bath to wash away excessive consumed clays. The natural bath is the clay wash and the private bath is to soak clean water. They are living clay candles being dipped.

But what does this apply for her? She is cursed, so there has to be some sort of waste management from how damned eat. Then again, damned eat emotions and negative energy. This doesn't produce a waste product as such. Excessive eating by a damned is cured with vomiting black marble stone pellets. She has been in such situations of forced tasting negative energy. As a human, vomiting stone pellets was painful. But she not human now. There is also use for such pellets in dark magic craft. Since humans are ignorant, they didn't know what the pellets are and use them for such summoning rituals. It was humans that discovered this and sigil walkers that adopted it, but didn't know where the pellets were produced. Just another black market material she sales.

She feels no need to be using the washing room. But has investigated the not locked rooms of the flat. The flat has a main door, currently locked. Curiosity has a locked bedroom room but going by the seals he put to it - it's a gods follower ritual ring in there. Something that had to do with Omens. He has the same sealing locks over his god follower wardrobe. She could open the door but really she doesn't feel she needs to.

"If it's as the king and queen commands it." Mid conversation of the lights being turned on. She moved to hide and peer into the living room of those that came from the front door. The two were putting a crate down at the floor, "It's rare we get anyone elite ranking enough joining the team but doesn't have the nobility status. Those that do with those conditions don't stay long." Curiosity isn't here. It's just these two and their here making this delivery. She steps to the bathroom and makes sure she somewhat decent in appearance. She doesn't need to make people uncomfortable on accident. She hide away most of her status items and has her armour cloaked in her material.

"I heard that Curiosity might have a roommate." Chatter between the two continues.

"The dark cloud of a crow doesn't count." Interesting that how they see omens as. She exits the bathroom with looking a little dull down. She used shadow to bring the welcome guide to her, so it was an object to hint her origin and not have them remove her. She cautiously enters to the living room, stood back watching the two workers unpacking the crate. They were piling the unknown bits into a neat pile at the floor beside, it seems as they were instructed to. It's more books and some summoning materials. A few parts to repair some sort if clock. Appeasement offerings to allow passage between God realms and hell layers.

"Wow, I didn't even hear you approach." Well she did cloak her steps with shadow, "Can you make sure Curiosity knows this is delivered?" She uses hand gesture to say so. They nod and finished the task. She peers looking to the left open flat door, feeling the energy and air flow. She can sense this whole building was built with constant drying and prevention of humidity. There exits to further other places but she doesn't snoop. She doesn't dare with the neighbors either.

"You want the door locked?" They were already leaving. She gestures gently the same. They locked the door behind. She puts the book down now and peers about the collection of items. Touching nothing.

"You're already awake." Omens flies through the solid door, so the ghost laws apply to the god. He hasn't a physical manifest shape in this realm. She offered her left arm and omens is unsure of this offer. He lands on the back of the sofa instead and peers at the items piled up. He jumps off and lands as a human shape, picked things up and moved them. She picked up the books with him and mirrors where to put them. Omens seems to appreciate this, glad that she can lift the objects he couldn't. And for the sake of putting things away, unlocked the back bedroom. This was where the Appeasement offers and clock bits went. Locked behind her when they were done.

Omens is however also seemingly busy, he turned into a bird soon after and rushed off. Straight through a god door. The door stays there but she stays here. She back to the sofa, commands the TV on and is back to some reading. She is very hungry, but she isn't starved either. In some way, those two deliverey men had been low enough to stave off longer. She finds herself watching a travel channel on the TV, it was a sort of tourist experience guide to visit realms on days off. She can sort of see them as the same way travel and history discovery shows are in the living world. She doesn't fancy going to these places but it was a new perspective of places. Glamorous views and local community activities. She hummed interested in how they all avoid water destinations. There isn't a beach side holiday being advertised. There a lava lake but it's a lovers trip.

"Wow, your actually in your flat for once?" The locked front door is seemingly opened again, there a lot of folks with us room key. The locks and seals on everything makes sense to her in this regard. As for this guy, he doesn't look right at deeper stare. He has lots of uniform bits for different reasons, but overall isn't for any of those jobs. He would blend in a city crowd but there isn't a exact job you put him for. So it made her think spy. But now there a question of which kingdom crest. Being unsure of each other, she turns ignoring them. Back to watching the TV and half reading the current book in her hand. The stranger sends a confused message put to Curiosity about her, so there has to be some good in the guy. Her mind swimming of many thoughts thus far of her situation. As she can tell this isn't the living realm and she wasn't human.

"I mean, she seems very content in watching the travel Channel and a cursed book at the moment. Hasn't spoke a word." Listening to the crystal communication phone, the guy has leaned himself to the back of the sofa, "No can't read what language that is. Or work out if it's a tome or not." He peers around, "Nothing is out of place. The seals on many of your boxes are undamaged. If you had a delivery, then it's already been sorted." The guy lowered and turned to her, "Clock parts. Where are they?"

She pointed with her left hand to the back locked room, "The creepy locked bedroom." He replies to the phone, "If she weird like you, I would guess she had help with your crow." The lean forward to peer into the hallway, "Prides like nine doors down with the other kids. She just handed them each the guide book." Fast to lean away from the door and noticed the guide book on the sofa, "I think she read the guide since its sitting on the sofa beside her. Still doesn't explain what she currently reading." So this guy like updating Curiosity about her. She waved the TV is turned off now, "Does she have access to sigil? She just waved the TV off." A long pause, "I just been blocked from her information." He has summon up a window panel to do such actions while leaned with the phone balancing his shoulder.

'Insufficient ranking to be accessing my personal details. I don't trust strangers with such basics.' She sent as a notice to them.

"And so like having administrator privileges is normal for someone like you?" He removed the message away and looked at her.

'Being a close friend to the administrator and having ownership of several realms. Having some vague contorl of the information flow is important. Especially when it concerns a larger perspective.' She sent this one now and the big guy hissed annoyed.

"Not sure if she does. You should ask her yourself. She a very careful and cautious person. I don't think it be wise of me to attempt brutal force on the system."

'Break the system and I will break you.' She glares.

"Maybe not upsetting the being that fixes the sigil panels is a better call." Realized his situation fast and isn't comfortable being so near her. She sent the book away. She heads around to the small drinks caddie and peers about the liquids that undertakers tend to drink. Ending the call on the phone and the guy sitting down from his own internal strife.
