Chapter 57 - 53 Private invite

She suspected as much from the type of mail she received from her little army. Dreamers have come in bow to her in her sleeping hours with reports of crossings from her boundaries. Then there was the news about the collapse of a hell realm. Entire floor of hell broke into a lower level, this isn't uncommon. But the realms the collapse was the insect realm being smashed by its upstairs, and this means the fleeing demon bugs will invade new nests where possible. The death order newspaper informative put the event as business as normal. The undertakers on the other hand, are in chaos trying to block the insect realm dwellers from crossing to the living realm. Amusing that they try.

So now there was two undertaker kingdoms, a letter from the Seer head of house, the Fallown cultist letter and a personal request from Death. He wrote the letter in his private paper style, not an order but a request as friends. He felt short handed of skilled soul takers to this backlog happening. It was not like death to even state allowing her god eaters to join. She suspected the letter could be fake but its genuine paper and the real ink from his office. The writing is matched. Just off set and she wasn't going to accept this sort of bad taste blindly.

"Answering text book pages 5 and 9 in your exorcise books. Then you may leave for free time early." Everyone has their heads down with focus. She reads the text book as she should, she finds the words needed in the information above. But as she went to write, she looked down at different hands. Her eyes have activated to her damned sight. She was being harrased in another of her bodies. So she became unfocused with her human side to slip through to the shadow more.

"Impressive. The thing does have sentient ideas of things." She plucked by the scruff from her merchant seat and dropped into a chest. She isn't going to let them do as they please and began clawing her way put of the seams. As if liquid, pouring from a gap and puddles the floor. She reformed back to a standing height and with breathing down the next of the idiots tht bothered her.

"This is one those moments that you must never turn around." One nervously clattered teeth to his allies. The one peered to the box and gluped, "I get it. We are dealing with a normal shadow of damned."

"What do I owe this pleasure of harassment to?" Whispered down their ear and with focus at making the place tidy again. Fixing her little trades table, tendrils of cloth posing her miniatures and necklaces in alignment. Her small ledger of trades is dusted off and checked throughly. The gang of men lean at each others backs in weapons pointed. The leader protected at the centre.

"A black bird sent me on this mission." He shouts, "A vessel of a god spoke to me. Told me to seek your support. I had not expected to offend you. I feared you being a clothus a moment ago."

Once there little table is all neat, she picked up her stool and is back all neatly ad she was before. Only that she looked directly at them and with focus deeply of reconginzing them from something. She tilts softly as she finds her mind wondering back to her human side. The pen back up and the two questions answered quickly. She made sure it was informative of an answer as it needs to be. She puts away her things and leaves the class like everyone else. Once her human side was inactive, her shift was back to the ranting of these scared men.

"I get it. The gods had a reshuffle. The true titles changed hosts. You are a former host of Omen and have been guided here to help. A good thing too since the true title around here needs a new humaniod and not so cursed appearance. His choose of undertaker for a god follower was striking. But his inspiration to keep latched to the one and only soul." She shook, "You will want to seek Curiosity. His the current god follower. You will find the title as a reptile bird on his shoulder. Squeaking nonsense like always." The men lowered in disbelief of her, "You ever come to seek me. Well don't. I am not some person to be messed around. I don't need you insulting me. I have plenty of negative things dished to me in this universe."

"That isn't why..." She flicked her right hand and cast them to be in summons hands. Lady summons does as she does best to throw them wherever possible. Back to business, slow pace here on sigil greedy merchant patch.

"Well no. I was afraid of what could happen if the monster ate us." She heard close by from a toilet break. She did just handle them in the shadow side.

"So you are serious about there being some monster around the boundary of the unknown as we know it." Omens sounded interested, "If anyone would know best. It be anyone labeled in our system as an outsider. There few of the title." She can already feel an headache in the making and her ears burning. She was at the moment of exiting as a group of her bothers posy and the fallowns were about to have some fist fight in the corridor. She stands at the wall listening to the insults of both sides. The fight breaks apart in the scatter about word from teachers coming. Even still her brother gave her one glance as he walked away. He seems in a foul mood today.

"Eliza, you have mail in the guild box." A demon staff member spoke up, the one that student scattered from.

"I want to guess it wasn't anything interesting." She can already tell from her mask arrival there. A repeat letter set. Two kingdoms. Seer. Fallown. The fake death god letter that might be death newest version of himself. She should stop by for tea.

"Excuse me." Her mask disappeared before the chance... reformed in her human right hand. The letters in her left hand. The demon staff member shivered and ran away. This seems to happen often with her mask, it's been active for a while. Her subconscious being extra guarded.

"It is always the wash rooms." Curiosity tuts, "We must really need to find each other anywhere else." Curiosity doesn't sound himself either. She squared him for a bit and then to omens. Omens nodded too. He knew what she meant.

"When the host gods got shuffled, there was chaos. This isn't his soul." Omen spoke to her directly.

"I thought it was strange." She invited omens to her shoulder and he glides over to nest with her. He was more relax at her then the person before, "Someone reformatted the tome language. This shuffles and alters where souls end up after a reset. The soul of who we care for isn't far away. He could even be looking for you." Petting omens form gentle and putting away the pesky paper. She hung her mask to the side of her head away from omens blocking view. She ignores the rest of everyone here, began refocus to human matters.

"No wait miss! We need your help. We seek the owner of the dreams edge. To request that the monster blocking the way out to move." She stopped there and glared at them for the insulting manner. She scaled them in checking advantages of combate.

"You could have just removed them and be done." Omens huffed.

"They are here for more then pestering me. They are brought here for something." She continues ignoring the group behind her and instead pulls herself to a window to look down at changes. Even the headmaster demon is a different race entirely. This compensation of changes was no wonder hell layer collapse. The density of soul population has altered. The people behind this couldn't rearrange names from the tome she hide from this universe but they going to be aware of that now. Especially cog soul names which are the true title god names and her own. A few key foundational beings across different background worlds. This feels like the work of fate being mad at omens stopping her games. It's those who are without red threads whom still linger in this living realm.

"That lady of fate called a big favor." Eliza summarised once moved away from the group of people she abondoned, "But this hasn't stopped the universe from having its peace." She heads for the church, "it can't erase the sins of souls whom feel guilty for what they done." She plucked and tucked under her arm the god of omens, "Mattu isn't hard to find when you know a sin he committed against you. In the reshuffle I bet he fell." She moved past the public view and striaght through a open public gate. She didn't change at all, as expected by her own thought. She lets Omens free and he changed into a person, tall and mysterious. Plague doctor like but the mask is skin. He longer beak top is the longest jaw line. If he yons now, everyone would scream at his extra teeth rows. She takes omens left hand with her own left hand. Dragged heels so to speak.

"This is weird." Undertakers at a distances watched her pulling the god along.

"How exactly are we going to find him if he's never committed a sin against me?" Omens asked.

"Because I don't have a hole through me for nothing, bird brains." She hissed and Omen shivered. He can't see what she meant. He doesn't understand, "His soul isn't going to forgive himself for taking the choose I gave him. I throw him back here in this universe, back to where he belongs. A promise I kept when we both got thrown away. Such a chance to return was for only one soul. I was thrown to be ate by worms. He was left upon the floor of the undertakers realm. I watched them find him and help him to safety." Omen pulled harshly in stopping her. Pulled her closer in looking about her in confusion, "that was some lifetimes ago." She stopped him playing her about, "I pulled myself back together enough and became this universe least trusted. When you hear my undertaker name, watch them squirm in discomfort and blank minded as they don't recall why they do." She takes his hand again and navigates them around the sigil path. She knows every stone and every turn. She throws random meat at open gates that close again. Omens tugging along this, he has his godly moment to think about things deeply.

"When you returned back into time, you returned the moment it happened. So that stab through your gut had to make sense, the universe had to put logic back when the clothus were removed."

"I know what you trying to get at Omens. I forgave him too even when it was a clothus and not him. But still his soul was being manipulated by laws here. He was forced to accept the sin he didn't commit and forced by the logic. He murdered a living human, at least that's the lie." She stops for a moment and had some salt to sprinkle over this spot. She then also added a bunch of wards over omens. Once that was all set, she kicked a barrel of gore over the middle of the sigil path. The eyes, organs and blood was blacken of rotting. She pulled omens around avoiding the gore and protects him as they careful moved back. Once they jumped through a gateway that suddenly opened, the barrel smashed of the place coming alive of monsters.

"Welcome to insect layer of hell." She puts away her weapon and takes omens hand again, "the new short cut." She began to climb and helped him do so. The god looked at the devastating chaos of ruin that layer collapse brings. Even the locals where in stages of grief and pain. It was looking upon humans during a city flattened by an earthquake. But this is hell. The bugs turned to eat the corpses of the dead found and some went crazy over power. She pulled them up just enough through the new layer, the god snarls upon the larger image.

"This is why you gods prefer humans. Humans in crisis don't eat their dead like that. They pray to you and clean away the place at their own abilities." She tugs his clothing and moved them around to a wall. This layer of hell is a prison. A prison ran by those who only know prison. Even the guards here are sinners whom felt wronged by their own. She hide from the wards and other prisoners. The place full of chaos from some getting loose. She felt the sin over her shoulder strong here, meaning he had to be here.

"Not all of these folks are sinners of misjustice. So why are they here?" Omens picked up on this.

"The afterlife isn't what humans expect it to be. The real judge for if you grow wings, become a god or become a demon... that judge is yourself. There isn't many people who trust themselves, love themselves or feel the right to be in heaven. The difference of qualification and self-awareness is highly underestimated." She pulled the god around for the bathrooms frist but sent the god in to check then her. Since that isn't the case, they moved to the food court. She felt cold around here, which only made her smile. She scanned the crowd and know which one it was. She left the gods side and picked up a prop food tray. She looked around of the angry crowd and smoothed a seat across from him. Playing with the food on the tray at front of her. He looked so dejected. She felt her heart sink. She noticed his drink was empty. She moved it away, his eyes watched her hand. She makes s sort of magic trick forming a ice cup. She then cast pouring clean water into the ice cup. Leaned in a smile to see him use it instantly. Omens steps around to them and place hand at shoulder.

"I don't want to know your name. I am not here to buy you like a slave." She pulled the price tag off his callor, "But I will gladly pay this debt. You helped me a long time ago. I am returning the favor." She sweeps the food trays away and lifted a bag lunch up. She nods as he eats that too. Omens being all soppy huffed around and cried over him. She smiles at his original human hair colour, it suited him more then the white it will be as an undertaker. He looked broken inside, and that was to be expected. She knows his soul been through a lot.

"Why are you being nice to me?" He asked.

"Because you be the last... and that will be lonely." She replies instantly in no hesitation, "If you wanted to come back here for a little longer to wallow, I can understand. Bloody hands don't always seem a mercy." She takes his right hand, "You did what you had to survive in life. As a undertaker. As a god follower to a god that kept putting you in near death situations. You even walk funny because of this. Avoiding hazard after hazard. You managed to stand yourself against four enders and took hold that title for yourself. You already know what that duty is. You watched and helped the last guy. But here we are. Here you not going to get help from those you wished it from." She lets him take his hand back and she stands holding that tag, "You are always forgiven by me. You gave me mercy. Even when at the time, I didn't know that. So I am going to pay this, proof of this forgiveness." She turns with a smile, "Didn't you know? You were always meant to fly, raven." She twirls back and went sorting out the paperwork and payment. She had the damned of shadows society help along with such things. Did them favors too. Release many others then just him. She came back around to watch him at the distance. He made comrades that she just released too. They as a group were celebrating this. She sees other that should have been undertakers are among them. She stares enviously of not being part of that.

"I guess its a good time to use these." She removed the undertaker letters. Two letters for one kingdom. Two for another. Three people per letter. There is one summons letter to death order, that would sort the rest of them. She approached and they parted path for her. She shows these summons to them. She gives a bow once they are taken. By their own choose, they went separately ways. Some had already summon letters for places so there wasn't a need for all that mail. She watched and made sure they all were free. Omens stayed with that guy. Doesn't even bother remembering how she got here. She takes her own exit now, eyes on her back. Many prisons inmates that knew she was who released those folks and were now going to threaten her for their chances. They get piled up on the tables with broken arms.

She climbs back down layers, back the insects. Navigate her way all the way back to the sigil living realm and across into the school church. She was instantly caught and screamed by teachers. But she rather this. It wasn't she enjoying it, it was preferred. It was nice someone cares.

"What was so important to break into hell for anyway?" Death seated at the front pew or maybe his apprentice to becoming the the new true title. She wasn't going to turn away death coldly. She sits at his sit and offered a warm themos of drink. Provided strange carved crystal cups, the crystal had this creepy vib as did the strange drink she pours into the cup. She drinks it first and death shocked he can hold and touch the set. Even as a visitor ghost, the cup and saucer was physically in his bone fingers.

"Come to poach me for yourself for when I die?" She asked.

"Partnership. You are a ranking enough to be a concept. True titles with aligned goals have contracts and partnerships." He explains, "The others don't know you yet. But they are about to. I seen how your ribbons have began to fade from their eyes. I watched the cold reaction change in the nerve twitch when they looked upon their own followers. The reformat of the tome language was their failure to stop your powers wane." He smells the drink and maybe that was tasting it? Being all bone. There isn't a tongue. So does his act to hold it at his teeth mean he was trying it? His twist about a second after, yup he did taste it.

"This tonic is to make you immune to God eater claw posions. Especially those from hell. It will have burning feeling instead of watching your limb melt from the cuts. I did try to make it easier to taste, there a lot of medical god herbs and a pineapple juice. Drinking it for years, I had to make this recipe easier to handle." He sips it more now as it was a good will jester on her part. There isn't many who can make cocktails immune to god eaters, "If the god eater attacking you is in the environment of heaven, the posion is different. Thus you need a similar tonic to this but adjusted to the divine instead of sin. God eater posion has interesting side affects, surviving the attack of them." She poured more as he requested from hold his empty cup over, "You will want to be careful of reading the tome. The names of sinners will be more... interesting to look at. You can see the sin they most feel at fault for. This is considered soul peeping. They don't like it." He still drinks away the tonic. She drinks hers plenty too.

"I like listening to your little rants. You have the most practical experiences. It matters not for those sins to me. The way you handle yourself in cause of it, makes you a more worthy person. You repented. I seen your name. I watched the god trial. I been at your side when I watched those clothus take you. You protected me then too. Then you camr back, had no clue but your soul was afraid of other victims. You spent your luck paving their downfall." He returned the crystal set to her. She smiles in putting it away, "A Partnership between true titles isn't like that of mortal or undertaker. The only thing that is the same is we exchange a item in proof. It not soul bond and its vaguely as humans would." He gifted her a small dagger, a death order high ranking artifact. It changes to suit needs.

"The crystal made from the tea set." She returns it out, now it wad cleaned, "it's soul crystal. There isn't a force that this universe can muster to break it. It changes colour based in the aura it's in. It's the same material that the debate chamber is made from, so you can understand how unlikely it will break." He takes it in shock looking upon the tea set. She brought out a box. A matching tea pot, another cup, its creamer and sugar container. She made this whole thing, putting the cup and its saucer into the box. The box to him, "it doesn't affect flavours. It will occasionally save your live in the most unpredictable ways. Give that even a scythe of your order can't cut it. There is only four god eaters that could break it. I can break it but I worked to hard carving them." Death takes the box very pleased of a fair exchange. This tea set is an artifact of its own. Suitable from her.

"I would guess that the god eater know it's from you." He tilts asking.

"You can totally ask them requests in exchange of metal or meat. You let them inspect the crystal and they will bow. But they have to be my God eaters. Not all are mine. Some are free roaming and own themselves. It's those of the abyss and dreams that are my command. I know a nightmare that loves your tower, he will likely bother you directly with that tea set." Death takes a door of his power away. He very pleased by the tea set. She attached the dagger with its holder at her hip through her belt.

The crowd here had nothing else for her. She can read a room just fine. Now death was gone, no one had reasons to bother. Even if they do, it couldnt be in good interest. She takes a soft bow to the whole room before exiting. Leaving the mayhem of this talking party at its own time. She exits the church of the school ground, feeling the side affect of hell travel and time difference. The best she can do was clean up and rest. Recover.
