"Did we buy everything?" Ziana double-checked the bags, nodding with satisfaction. She handed two bags to each of the three men, smiling as she walked out of the supermarket.
Though Ivan and Zayden weren't entirely pleased with her decision, Damien simply smiled and accompanied her. The two best friends indulged in fond memories as they strolled down the familiar street.
Ivan smiled while Ziana laughed at Damien's joke, both of them looking back at the old bus stop. Nudging Zayden, Ivan playfully remarked, "What do you think of Damien? Isn't he the perfect candidate to be my brother-in-law?"
Zayden's frown deepened as he took a moment to process Ivan's words. Brother-in-law? He already had one, walking right next to him!
"Your sister won't be happy if she marries him," he commented, observing the seemingly happy couple."He is her ex's best friend after all."
"And moreover, only a bold, daring man can handle her tantrums."
