Zayden locked eyes with Ziana, his gaze bearing a question that left her bewildered, Andrew's enthusiastic squeals adding to the rapid thudding of her heart. The anticipation hung thick in the air. Was he truly about to... the mere thought set a fleet of butterflies into a graceful waltz in her stomach.
"Hold on, why did he get such a big box?" Andrew's questions played out like a live commentary, their voices carrying a mixture of emotions as they stared at each other.
"I suggested you wear slippers," Zayden mumbled, shaking his head, his words catching the ears of a few supernaturals nearby. Opening the white box, he revealed a pair of elegant black loafers adorned with a delicate line of pearls.
'I can never wear heels for hours, but it's okay; I will manage since it's a big day. It would have been great if I had a pair of loafers or something that could match the outfit, but I can't take anyone out as it isn't safe anymore.'
