"Stop, right now!" Ziana warned, pulling her hands away and gripping the edge of the cycle. But Zayden only increased the speed, forcing her to grab him again.
Zayden glanced at her hands and smirked in satisfaction. He maintained the speed, riding through the empty road towards the hill. Victor and Andrew caught up with them, the trio sharing smiles, knowing Ziana had fallen for their tricks, except for Damien. He scowled, convinced that the annoying reaper had something to do with the earlier incident.
Ziana struggled to concentrate, trying to steady her racing heart, but quickly gave up. With a sigh, she clutched the edges of his shirt, holding on tightly as they traveled through the woods. If he wasn't having any problems after last night's incident, she should try to pretend the same.
