Shaking away his strange thoughts, Zayden fixed his gaze on his unusually caring raccoon. "We don't have to argue with you, Ziana," he said, his voice steady despite the intensity of the situation.
"Then do as I say!" Ziana ordered, her stance resolute, arms crossed. Her determination mirrored that of her stubborn father, making William sigh audibly in the background. And when no one replied, as if having no intention of caring about her tantrums, she quickly added, "Or else, take me with you!"
Confusion flickered across Lady Winter's face at the sudden change in Ziana's demeanor. What was wrong with his girl? She thought as Zayden firmly declined again.
"That's impossible!"
"Anything is possible if it's you, Zayden. Doesn't it?" She asked, raising her eyebrow. Though it seemed like praise, Zayden knew better than anyone else that she was being sarcastic.
