While Elyon blamed himself and regretted not moving to the town immediately since the small soul beasts dared to enter his parents' residence area, Alina suddenly stopped walking and turned back. The girl's brow furrowed in displeasure, and when her eyes interlocked at Elyon, both pairs of eyes showed the same anxiety. The two teenagers gave no sound but seemed to communicate with each other through their eyes alone.
"Elyon, Alina, what's wrong? Why did you two stop walking? Are you guys tired?" The mother approached the two children and gave them two bottles of drink. Unfortunately, neither was in the mood to rest or drink. Even though the older woman's intentions were good, they still couldn't shake off the aura of danger lurking around them.
"I have to go," commented Alina suddenly since she didn't want to involve Elyon and the kind-hearted husband and wife.
