William Godsend Human was the crown prince of the Human Empire. He has light blonde hair and eyes as blue as the sky. He has a well-built body with a handsome face that could charm any noble lady at the first sight. Even so, he had never once had a relationship with a noble lady and always acts cold when something like that is around.
At the age of 16, he was so respected by the people of his empire because he gave so many victories on the battlefield against the Demon Empire. The war with the Demon Empire continued for fifteen years and he finally managed to kill the Demon Emperor with his own hands and bring peace to the world.
Even though he managed to bring peace to the world, he suddenly declared a coup d'état to his father just after he returned to the empire. He did that to avenge his mother who was killed by his father shortly after his coronation as the crown prince of the Human Empire.
With the support of all the kingdoms under the Human Empire, it didn't take long for him to take over the seat of the emperor from his father. He killed his father and started ruling the Human Empire. However, the warlike spirit that he had acquired from having been at war with the Demon Empire since young could not be simply erased by him.
He gathered the higher-ups from the Human Empire in a room with a round table in the center where they all sat together around the table. The higher-ups looked at each other with serious eyes because this was the first time they were gathered by the emperor in a room that is not the throne room.
"Your Majesty, what is the need for you to gather us all in this room?" the imperial chancellor asked as he looked at William. "Is there something so important that we all have to be in this room together?"
"Keep your rude words to yourself, old chancellor," the imperial knight captain said as he looked at the chancellor with a hateful gaze. "Can't you shut your rotten mouth for a while? It's obvious that we are all gathered in this room because his Majesty has something important to discuss."
"Yes, what Alfred said is true," William said as he stood up. "I have something important to discuss with all of you."
An imperial maid put a large piece of paper on the table along with a pen and ink. William wrote something on the paper and signed it. He took the paper and showed it to everyone in the room.
"As the emperor of the Human Empire, I hereby declare to dominate the world," William said with a proud look on his face.
With that one declaration, his position as the emperor who brought peace to the world was questioned by some of the higher-ups of the Human Empire. They asked him to reconsider his declaration because they thought that it was not good for them to become the second Demon Empire that want to rule over the world.
"As the emperor of the Human Empire, I hereby declare that anyone who opposes me will be beheaded."
As soon as his second declaration was made, several higher-ups in Human Empire were beheaded. Their positions were soon replaced by new people from the kingdoms who supported his first declaration to dominate the world.
With the remaining war funds prepared against the Demon Empire for a hundred-year wartime, it didn't take long for him to prepare for war against the other empires. The first empire he chose to war against was the Dwarven Empire. He chose the Dwarven Empire as the first empire to fight because he needed the technology from the dwarves to strengthen his military power.
It didn't take hundreds of years like the war with the Demon Empire, it only took one year and three months for him to dominate the Dwarven Empire since the Human Empire has more knowledge in warfare than them. He killed most of the population of the Dwarven Empire and enslaved the rest into forced labor to develop his empire's arsenal.
The news about the fall of the Dwarven Empire to the Human Empire spread throughout the world along with the declaration of world domination from the Human Empire. The information reached the wise emperor of the Elven Empire located not too far from the Dwarven Empire. In order to protect his people, he had no other choice but to perform a diplomatic marriage with the Human Empire using his beloved daughter.
She is Veronica Grace Elven, the crown princess of the Elven Empire. She has reddish-brown hair and eyes as blue as the ocean. She has a slim body with a very beautiful face that could charm any Gods and Goddesses to give her a lot of blessings. Even so, she was never grateful for the blessings bestowed by the Gods and Goddesses on her because she felt they were nothing more than a curse to her.
Since childhood, she was always taught by her father how to think wisely by giving her the opportunity to choose whatever she wants to do and face the consequences afterward. With that upbringing, she became a wise woman who can make decisions in various situations with a calm mind.
Therefore, she could only accept it when she heard that her father was going to use her in a diplomatic marriage with the emperor of the Human Empire in order to protect the people that were at the stake. She could not allow her beloved people to suffer like the people of the Dwarven Empire they had hated for so long.
The Elven Emperor immediately planned the wedding ceremony preparations that his beloved daughter needed. He ordered the imperial tailors to design an exquisite wedding gown, he ordered the nobles of the Elven Empire to prepare the best wedding offerings, and he ordered the best horse-drawn carriages to be prepared in large amounts.
The preparation for the wedding ceremony was immediately carried out and Veronica started to say goodbye to the imperial court staff, the imperial court maids, her friends, her people, and her father. She couldn't hold back her tears at having to leave them, but it was for their sake not to suffer the same fate as the Dwarven Empire.
When the preparations were completed, she headed to the Human Empire with hundreds of horse-drawn carriages filled with wedding offerings. They traveled from morning, noon, to night without resting a bit because the distance from the Human Empire was indeed quite far.
As they passed through the Dwarven Empire, they could see that it had crumbled to the ground without leaving a single building or sign of life. Their bodies shook when they witnessed that because they did not expect humans to have such cruel hearts. What's more, they didn't see any traces of war as if the humans managed to decimate the Dwarven Empire before they even put up a fight.
Even though they hated the dwarves from the root of their hearts, they said a prayer for them and continued on their way. It took them a month to reach the Human Empire and when they got there, they were greeted with great fanfare by the people of the Human Empire. Those people smiled happily while dancing and singing in their language.
At that moment, Veronica felt that something was off because there was no way those humans with cruel hearts greeted them happily. She felt that the humans should have been crueler to her because she decided to do a diplomatic marriage to avoid having her empire annihilated like the Dwarven Empire.
'What is this uneasy feeling in my heart? Is this some kind of trap? Will they still attack my empire even if I do this diplomatic marriage?' Veronica thought as she saw the people of the Human Empire through the carriage window. She held her chest while biting her lip as she took a deep breath. 'I don't want to use any of the blessings I got if I'm not in this kind of state.'
Veronica closed her eyes and began to focus her thoughts. She went into her subconscious and used one of her blessings which is called
'I hope that our future empress will bring great changes to the world together with our emperor,' a young man thought. 'Hopefully, I get to see those times with my grandchildren.'
'I heard that she is the crown princess of the Elven Empire, she must have a beautiful face that would suit our emperor very well,' a young woman thought. 'I hope the Goddess of Love bestows her blessings on their wedding ceremony.'
'I thought it would take them more than two months to get here, but they came quicker than I thought,' an old man thought. 'Maybe the Gods and Goddesses made their way here easier.'
...
There were still many people's thoughts that she read and she was amazed when she found that their thoughts were all so welcoming to her arrival. 'I don't understand what's going on, I better be careful and stay alert,' Veronica thought as she felt exhausted from using her blessing.
