"That means that my father was involved?" Sheena and Leon looked at each other before answering.
"You remember your childhood best." Leon walked over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "It never struck me as right that Brenna was mistreated. We aren't supposed to interfere with matters between mates, but even we could tell that there was something wrong. We took Brenna in knowing that there might be trouble, but it was the right thing to do."
