Jason sat down in a single-seater that was situated in the shadow of the nearby bookshelf. He didn't want to sit next to the window because the bright sunlight would bother him. Thus, he found a seat that was under a shadow, then took a comfortable posture and opened the book.
The book was rather thick, with a black hardcover that had the name "Crimson Moon of the Demon Race."
The first page had nothing except an image of a horned face. Even though it was just an image, it felt very sinister. He flipped to the next page, and finally, written text appeared with one picture.
Jason started reading while glancing at the picture. The picture was rather strange. It had withering trees in the middle of a canyon, and there was a starless sky above with crimson light covering the night sky.
