1. Many People are intimidated by the Wealthy due to their influence and ability to 'deter' even Sovereign States via 'Economic Sanctions'. The Gold then can be used as 'a Shackle' to 'bind Antagonistic Elements'.
2. Introverted Boys and Girls feel intimidated by their 'Popular School Idols'. The Brighter these 'idols shine', the 'more inferior those who do not dazzle as much feel'.
3. Pirates and Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs buried their Gold with their Corpses not to 'hoard the Gold' as many 'believe' but to 'frighten any Evil Spirits' that 'approached their Tombs' by 'Virtue Of The Sight Of The Dazzling Presence and Perceived Power or Influence Of The Pirate or Pharaoh' which is why most 'Ancient Tombs' tended to be 'Booby Trapped'. The 'Purer the Light Of A Star...the Whiter it appears...the Colours Of Stars alter in proportion to the Energy invested into sustaining them as well as the Atmospheres of the Planets that receive them and the Atmospheric Filters applied by that Planet. It's why for instance...Superman's Kryptonian Strength differs depending on the Planet he battles on.
