Suddenly, by the side of the man, a woman slowly materialized and then looked at the remains of the "Target", then with a flick of her hands, these remains started to be covered in black air, which slowly ate away at the carnage. Cleaning the whole battlefield in the process.
"Hmm, you don't feel tired." The woman said to the blue eyed man, who was still in some thoughts.
But her words still woke him up. "I killed 18, there should be twenty in total…" Then the man looked at her and asked. "Did you hide them?"
There was no emotion in his voice, but the anger was evident, causing the woman to back down a bit.
She knew who the man in front of her was, what kind of things he had done and how dreaded he was in the industry.
So as a cleaner, she knew that hiding things would be suicidal in front of a man like him. But it still didn't feel right to her. "They were kids, fallen into his tricks, the targe…"
Before she could speak, her head was separated from her body, then followed by the rest of her body which burst into small pieces.
And when she died, so did her illusion die with her, exposing the two cowering figures not too far into distance that looked at the scene in front of them with horror.
"Please…. Please… dont' kill us."
The boys cried, begging for mercy when they saw what this monster had done to their friends as well as the woman that tried to save them.
But they received no answer in response, all they saw was the world being cut apart. But in truth, it was these boys that were chopped to pieces and not even given time to beg properly.
"It's your fault for getting involved with people like this." The man said, leaving the scene as carnage as it was, with no one to clean it, as he had already killed the cleaner.
But to a person of his stature, none of that mattered much.
He came to do a proper job, and it was the company's responsibility for sending such a lousy cleaner who had the audacity to prevent him from doing a proper job. Meaning it's not his fault if people found out about this massacre like assassination.
So moving a bit further, he came to a more populated area of a dungeon, as he could see few people marching around, exploring this bizarre pocket dimension.
But he didn't care, he just reached the exit and after showing his ID, left for the real world.
And it was only then that his assistant approached him.
"I don't see the cleaner." She asked. But the man's deep look was enough to explain what had happened there. "No worries if she is not here… I am happy that you came back without scratch."
The man followed her to the car without any mention of what the job was why the man killed the cleaner. All he did was follow the woman to his car and then sat in the back with her, while their driver drove the car out of the Dungeon area.
"Tell me the current news… has that mysterious stranger released some new techniques yet?"
"No sir, not yet. But it would seem that the Mafia in Russia seem to have found traces of the stranger, but they failed to find anything substantial."
"Besides one thing."
Hearing one thing, the man got curious. Looking at his assistant, expecting the answer. And the answer soon came.
"It seems this Mysterious stranger has been able to develop something close to an awakening medicine and should be auctioning it in the Wulfer Auction House in a few days."
"A bunch of insects learned so much about that person when none in the world couldn't?" The man asked, his words obviously questioning the validity of the claim.
But the woman, as if ready, answered soon after. "No, there is. Many believe it to be true… as the owner of Wulfer has confirmed that there might be something similar auctioned there."
"Hmm…"
"Then so be it… book a ticket for me to Russia."
The man said without much emotion, but the woman didn't dare to ignore his order. For she knows what kind of person her boss was and the kind of family he belonged to.
A family that Luvi is very much aware of.
For this man is none other than his older brother, a purple star hunter at day, while an assassin by night.
An assassin that only hunted other hunters.
And his name, Pragati Prathan.
******
Luvi belonged to a family of five, with him being the youngest of the three children.
His older brother and sister both born with inhuman talents and even more inhuman personality. And even though Luvi never saw his father outright say it, he knew that his father loved his siblings more than him.
For he was the outlier, the normal one among them who was never interested in violence and opted to solve his problems using borrowed force. Which his family didn't like much.
As for the input of his mother?
There was none, she was someone that died giving birth to him. The reason being pregnancy complications and he was just too huge as a baby. Which might be one of the reasons why his family didn't like him that much.
But I am going on a tangent, let's focus on Luvi's family for a bit.
The father of the two was infamous for one thing only. He was a bounty hunter that had captured and killed countless rogue hunters that were causing a problem in dungeons.
While his older brother was a sort of copy of their father. Following on his footsteps and doing similar jobs with only differences being, he never captured anyone.
He wished to surpass his father, so he took dangerous bounties where it was ok for him to kill. And even though this identity was only known to few in the industry. The ones in power understood that the oldest of the Prathan children is something to be dreaded.
Which leaves his sister, who was five years older than him and a complete psycho.
No, these were Luvi's own words.
Unlike his brother, he was a cold and reserved killer. Luvi's older sister was the opposite.
She was a straight up pure hunter and dungeon explorer that ran with her own party, made up of equally insane people. The amount of records she had broken for hunting mutated monsters and spiritual beasts is terrifying.
Which is the reason why she had earned the sought after title of Monster slayer, even though she was still in her early 20s.
But that is where the legacy of his daily life came to an end. Due to their mental problems or innate nature, none of the members of his family ever qualified for a hero license, hence limiting their activity to the dungeons, on the surface that is.
Luvi was aware how many illegal things had happened in his family.
It was why he found a perfect way to escape his family who only wanted him to live a normal life.
Hah, Luvi was not foolish.
A normal mediocre life would be suicidal for him as long as he is related to his family in any way. There are countless enemies of his family eyeing them to find a weakness. And once Luvi leaves the protection of his home for a normal life, he would soon be hunted by those that wish to harm his family.
It was why he chose to remain in the awakened system and join the Academy, where he will be protected while staying away from his family.
But will he truly be safe from these people? From his family?
No.
The recent activities of Luvi which has put him in the news time and time again as the little snitch has put him in the eyes of many people.
Some of which were surprised to learn that a wastrel coward like Luvi belonged to the bloodthirsty Prathan family.
"Tournament… huh?"
*****
Unaware of the torment that would come his way, Luvi remained focused on his practice. Because that was the only way forward.
He can even feel the limitations on his body that was barring him from entering White Star rank, was loosening slowly.
Just a few more days and he will be just like Andy.
Though unlike Andy, he will hide his achievement for a while and when some others start to show similar growth like Andy, only then would he expose his real strength.
Which would help him to not stand out much.
"You are back?... How about we order some Biryani tonight. My treat." Luvi said, planning to have a party seeing how close he was to success.
But like before, Andy just shook his head.
"Sorry brother, but I won't be free until the tournament is done. And I have also changed my diet under the suggestion of teacher Daarun. I can eat chicken, but nothing as oily and spicy as Biryani."
"Hmm."
"How dare you call it such… Biryani is a whole meal, a complete meal."
"My friendship with you is over now…"
Like a little child, Luvi left Andy on his own devices while ordering some food for himself.
Of course, he was not really angry with Andy. Although he doesn't understand what kind of responsibility Andy carries. He can always imagine what it might have been like if his family was normal and they loved him as much as Andy's family does.
But those things can only exist in his imagination. For now, he needs to eat and get ready to receive the results for the Auction.
An Auction, that would be a huge boost to his organization, where everyone was doing their work out of goodwill. Though the money would be a huge boost to their goals.
