Chapter 1 - into the new world

**Chapter 1: A New Beginning**

I was lying in bed, mindlessly scrolling through the internet, watching the endless stream of comments from people arguing over anime.

*"One Piece is the best anime, hands down."*

*"You're insane! Dragon Ball Z is the greatest."*

*"Clearly, neither of you has watched Naruto. Itachi is the best character ever."*

*"Oh great, an Itachitard enters the battlefield."*

*"But can Itachi beat Goku, though?"*

I sighed and checked the time on my phone. 3:30 AM. "It's this late already?" I yawned. "I really need to sleep." With a tired groan, I set my alarm, plugged in my phone, and turned off the light. As soon as my head hit the pillow, exhaustion pulled me under.

But sleep didn't last long.

I awoke to an unexpected scene. Instead of my familiar room, I found myself floating in the vastness of space. Stars glittered around me in an endless sea of darkness.

"Huh...? What the hell?" I rubbed my eyes, convinced this was just some strange dream. But when I opened them again, nothing had changed.

"This has to be a lucid dream," I reassured myself.

"No, it is not a dream," a voice suddenly echoed through the emptiness.

Startled, I whipped around, trying to locate the source of the voice. "Who... who are you?" I stammered, my voice shaking.

"You may call me God," the voice replied calmly. "It's a name you humans have given me. And before you ask why you can't see me, it's because if I revealed myself to you, even in your spirit form, you would die."

I stood there, frozen in shock, struggling to process what I was hearing.

"Oh, my apologies. Let me help you," the voice—God—said. Suddenly, I felt a sense of calm wash over me, and my voice returned.

"W-where am I?" I managed to ask.

"You are in my realm," God replied.

"Your... realm?"

"Yes, a place where time does not exist. There are no living beings here—only me."

"Then... why am I here?" I asked, confusion lacing my voice. "And what do you mean I'm dead? I was just sleeping!"

"Try to remember," God urged gently.

I closed my eyes, searching for any memory that might explain how I ended up here. Then, it hit me like a wave. I remembered the earthquake. I'd been asleep when it struck, and the ceiling had collapsed. I woke just in time to see it coming down on me, but I was too late to react.

"That's how I died..." I whispered, feeling a sinking weight in my chest.

"Yes," God confirmed. "Your death was sudden. That's why the memory didn't return immediately."

"Lame way to die," I muttered under my breath.

God chuckled. "Any other questions, child?"

"Why am I here? And what's supposed to happen now?"

"Don't worry," God said warmly. "You've been chosen for something special. I will reincarnate you into any world you desire."

"What? Really?" My sorrow quickly turned to excitement. Though I was sad about my death and the family I'd left behind, the idea of a fresh start in another world filled me with anticipation.

"Yes, really. And as a bonus, I'll grant you two wishes."

"Two wishes?" My mind raced with possibilities.

"State your first wish," God prompted.

"Okay," I said, feeling a surge of excitement. "For my first wish, I want the power of Seiki Kuno, but even stronger—without any limitations."

"Wish granted," God said, sounding amused. "Now, your second wish?"

"I want the ability to travel between anime worlds. That's my second wish."

"Wish granted," God replied. "You know, you're not the first human to ask for such powers."

"What? There were others?"

"Yes, more than ten. One of them even asked for Goku's powers."

"Did you give it to him?" I asked, curious.

"What do you think?" God responded with what I could only imagine was a smirk.

Before I could press further, God's voice grew softer. "Time's up."

"Wait! I haven't chosen my world yet!" I protested.

"Oops, too late. I already hit the button," God said, almost playfully.

I groaned, feeling my consciousness slipping away. The last thing I heard was God's voice, faint and distant, saying, "I'll be watching."

---

I awoke to the sound of soft murmuring and bright light. It took a moment for my eyes to adjust, but when they did, I saw... giants? One of them was holding me, cooing softly.

It took me a second to process what was happening. I looked down at my tiny hands and realized I'd been reborn. "So, this is my new mother," I thought, as I looked up at the woman smiling down at me. I felt warmth and love radiating from her, and I couldn't help but smile back.

Next to her was a man making funny faces, trying to make me laugh. I giggled in response.

"See? He's laughing!" the man said proudly. "I'm really good with kids."

"Alright, honey," my mother said with a chuckle. "But I need to rest now. I'm exhausted."

"Of course," the man said. "I'll take care of the baby while you sleep."

"No, it's okay. Let him sleep with me," my mother insisted.

The man nodded and kissed her forehead. "Alright then. I'll head out to the store. If you need anything, just call me, Ruka."

My mother smiled and nodded, then closed her eyes as she held me close. I felt the gentle rhythm of her breathing and soon drifted off to sleep myself.

**Two Weeks Later**

I've been here for two weeks now, and life is... different. I still haven't figured out which anime world I've been reincarnated into, but one thing's for sure—I'm in Japan. My new family is wealthy, which is a relief. My mother is a successful businesswoman, and I have an older sister who's in middle school. She's a playful girl, always full of energy.

In these two weeks, I've been testing out my new powers. I can control almost anything, and I've even learned how to fly. How awesome is that? I've tried teleportation, locating people, and even reading minds—though that last one gave me a massive headache. The constant flood of thoughts was overwhelming, so I've put that ability on hold for now.

I was deep in thought when I heard a cute voice beside me. "Little brother, say 'big sister!'" My sister looked at me with sparkling, hopeful eyes. She was so adorable that I couldn't help but play along.

"Gugugaga," I babbled.

"Yeah! Just like that!" she squealed, pulling me into a tight hug. "My little brother is so cute!"

A maid entered the room, her tone firm but kind. "Young miss, it's time for the young master's nap and your study session."

"Maa... I don't want to study! I want to play with my brother!" my sister whined, throwing a little tantrum.

The maid sighed, adjusting her glasses. "If you don't listen, young miss, I'll have to inform the madam."

"Moo, you're the devil!" my sister pouted, but she relented and headed off to her tutor.

The maid picked me up and carried me to my room. She gently placed me in my crib and handed me a bottle of milk. As I drank, my eyelids grew heavy, and soon I drifted off to sleep, dreaming of the adventures yet to come.
