< Five minutes earlier>
Erin felt a sting in his heart when Senthia was slashed on the stomach. While he was concentrating on the fight, someone crept into a carriage dressed in the same garb as the shadow guards.
"Young master, the lady told me to take you out, the fight is getting dangerous," the guard said solemnly.
He didn't want to become his mother's weakness after seeing her get hurt while protecting him, so he decided to follow the guard and leave the carriage.
After running for a while,
"Why are you so relaxed?" Erin asked, suspiciously looking at her. After they had left the area, the guard body's behaviour became inappropriate for their the situation.
"Me, young master, now that we're out of harm's way, I'm feeling a little better," said the woman guard.
"Oh, don't bother trying to hide it, I know you are not a guard, tell me who you are?" Spoke Erin, as he began to gather ice mana behind his back.
"Oh, our young master is quite sharp, what revealed it?" questioned the guard, no longer bothering to hide.
"I had my doubts for a while, but you confirmed them,"
"Oh, what do we have here, a young master with a sharp mind, but don't you think it's too late?" The imposter spoke while hurling a fireball into the air.
"But I don't think so," Erin said, throwing an icicle at her.
"Hoh, our mission has been completed, so please excuse us, Lady Senthia." The leader bowed slightly and turned around.
"Hahahahahahaha~" Senthia was the one who laughed this time.
"hahaha, are you referring to that petty attempt to kidnap my child? ..Did you think I didn't notice?" Senthia asked.
" Huh? What are you talking about?" The leader paused, then turned around and tightened his grip on the sword, his gaze fixed on Senthia for the first time in the fight.
<2 days earlier>
"He's just a child," Senthia defended Erin.
"Mother, sis is correct; let us wait a little longer for him to mature." Aurora agreed with her sister; even though she teased Erin a lot, she didn't want him to go through what they did.
"I understand; that's why I waited until he was five. Did you forget whose blood flows in his veins, he has to get used to killing and this is the perfect opportunity for him," Roberta said sternly, refusing to accept any rejection, after all, at his age she was already a trained assassin, and her daughters had also gone through it before Erin.
"What if he is traumatized as a result of the incident?" Senthia knew it was hopeless to change her mother's mind once she had made up her mind on something.
"Don't worry, he's a strong child, and even if he becomes traumatized, we'll be there for him... And you know, mother, she wouldn't have stopped with a simple murder. It's better to let him deal with it, we'll just tell Eri it was his grandma's idea." Aurora decided to step in.
' Huh!,' Roberta raised an eyebrow,
" My daughter, it's been a long time since we trained together. "How about we go to the training room?" Roberta asked, looking at Aurora with a predatory grin on her face.
"Mother, I forgot, there is so much work to be done. I have to leave." Aurora would be a fool to accept her offer with such a frightening expression on her face.
"Oh, well, that's unfortunate," Roberta said, feigning disappointment.
"Yes!, Yes!, it's a shame because I would have loved to train."
'Swoosh,'
Roberta appeared in front of Aurora the next second.
You can do it at night, so let's get started."
"Wait, mother, wait...," Aurora pleaded, but Roberta ignored her and dragged her into the training grounds.
"Sigh, fine, let's take it as practice." Accepted Senthia in a reluctant tone and left the room.
Just as Senthia finished her sentence, twenty more shadow guards appeared from behind her. Surrounding the cloaked people on all sides.
"Oh huh, let me let you in on a little secret: your plan was just practice for our baby," Senthia joked.
"Kill them all!" exclaimed Senthia as her hair began to turn from black to silver.
"Hoh, but I don't think so," Erin said as she threw an icicle at the shadow guard, catching her off guard, but she quickly regained her composure and turned her body at the last second. Still it wasn't enough as the icicle pierced her stomach.
Erin did not remain motionless after throwing the icicle; instead, he moved away from her and used his mana to throw another icicle at her. He kept moving around, throwing icicles at her from various angles.
She removed the icicle and tossed it back to one of the approaching ones.
'How can a five-year-old be a rank 2 mage?' She drew her sword from her waist and looked at Erin with bloodshot eyes; if eyes could kill, Erin would have died with her stare.
Erin didn't give her a chance as he continued to throw icicles at her, forcing her to focus on the incoming barrage of ice.
"How long do you think you'll be able to keep it up, young master? Just surrender, and I promise not to kill you."
Erin ignored her words and continued to throw icicles at her.
'He should be out of mana in about 5 minutes.' The guard began to concentrate on the approaching icicles.
Erin continued to throw icicles at her after a minute… two minutes… ten minutes had passed.
'How is that possible?' She couldn't believe what she was seeing.
' Aah!' An icicle pierced her defenses, piercing her shoulder.
After another 5 minutes,
Huff… Huff…
Her breathing was ragged, and her entire body was covered in injuries; she was barely standing with the help of her sword; Erin had already stopped throwing icicles, but the guard couldn't move an inch.
" Erin simply approached her body, extended his arm, and summoned another icicle on his hand. He pierced her neck with his trembling hands.
As she fell to the ground, the woman just stared at Erin in horror.
' I didn't do anything wrong. I didn't do anything wrong.' He tried to justify his actions, but the tears and shaking hands wouldn't stop.
Senthia was standing by the body of a half-human, half-demon-like creature.
'I should have expected him to be the dog of those guys,' Senthia thought as she gazed at the corpse.
"Go find the young master," Senthia said.
The guards complied and went in search of Erin; after a while, they discovered him standing in a daze, tears streaming down his cheeks. They quickly contacted Senthia, who rushed to the scene.
Looking at Erin, who stood with his lifeless eyes, made her eyes well up, and she rushed to his side and hugged his body.
"You did great, baby~" Senthia said lovingly as she stroked his hair.
" M-Mother sob* I Ki-Killed sob* someone." Erin couldn't hold back his tears after feeling his mother's warmth.
" You did nothing wrong, You did great~" She comforted him until he fell asleep.
"We're returning." Senthia said as she picked up Erin's sleeping body.
To be continued..
" Mother, please let's not do it." Seeing her mother picking two wooden sword from the corner was making her more nervous.
" No, No, I have to check how much my daughter has improved." She couldn't understand why her daughter is so against it.
' Ha, check my progress? Woman who you are trying to fool, You just want to beat me!' thought Aurora in her mind.
" Mother I'll give you my Power Stone if we stop now." She decided to bring her ace that she had been protecting for a while.
" I don't need your Power Stone, the readers will give me enough of them after I check your progress."
' You wanna put the blame on me, lets see if you can walk after this.' There was a sinister smile as she eyed her daughter.
