Chapter 2 - CHAPTER TWO

KALEB POV

"Come on Kaleb, you always tryna run game on somebody." Giselle fine ass always playing games. She know she want me.

"Man no im not." I said reaching for her phone again, but she jerked back. "Giselle you really not bouta let me get your number."

"No Kaleb. I gotta go." She said walking towards the female-only dorms.

"Kaleb you still tryna get with Giselle? You got fucking problems." My bro Freaky walked up laughing before rapping me up.

"That's cause she still playing games."

"No that's cause she ain't stupid. That girl ain't trying have you mess up her life and her morals." I laughed at this nigga.

"You went home and turned into a lil bitch. Don't act like you wasn't fucking up happy homes during the fall." Im not even gone get into what he did to this shawty in the bathroom at Applebees, while her boyfriend waited at the table.

"It's a new semester. I've changed." We both burst out laughing. Changed my ass.

"You going to the back to school party, at the fraternity house?"

"Fuck I look like going watch a bunch of niggas shimmy." All them niggas be looking weird.

"Son I'm going for hoes."

"Nah I'm good on that, I got hoes."

"I can't tell."

"Fuck you bitch!" I gave him the finger as he chuckled walking off.

I wasn't making my way back my dorm when I heard a girls voice and she sounded ratchet as hell. My initial plan was to tell her shut the fuck but shawty she was walking with caught my attention hard. Like a nigga really dropped my phone. The one that ain't got no damn case on it. She ain't nothing but the devil. I mugged her before leaning down to pick up my phone.

"Mannnnnnn." I said as I saw how fucked up my screen was. "Nothing but the damn devil."

When I got back to my dorm I laid down in my bed listening to music. Music was something I loved, I even started writing. It really got me through some of my worse times when I didn't have anybody to lean on. Being here at school was extremely important to me and my mother.

I was going to be the first in my family that I know of to go to college and actually graduate. So I wanted to get my degree and when I finish if I still enjoyed writing music, maybe I'd look into that.

As I completed some of the early assignments that will be getting turned in soon. Thank god for this syllabus, My roommate Moriah walked in, I looked up at him as he gave me a head nod and I returned it.

We been here for less than a week and this nigga is barely in the room. Like where could you be going already. I mean I didn't mind, I like being alone having the room to himself.

But it did kind of frustrate me that all knew about him was his name. I closed my textbook sitting my paper and pencil off to the side before giving him a proper greeting. Well as proper as I could be in this situation.

"Wassup?"

"What's good?." he replied. "You going the Kappa party tonight?"

"Nah, i'm staying in tonight."

"Don't tell me you one of them lame ass niggas." I chuckled at his reaction.

"Nah I just don't fuck with that type of party scene."

"Well i'm about to get ready to go right now. So if you change your mind in the next thirty minutes you could roll with me."

"I'm good bruh." I chuckled

"Well shit, aight." Moriah grabbed some clothes heading to the shower.

I was hungry as fuck but for some reason I can't eat with out smoking some good first. So I hit up the plug and told him I needed a ounce and he told me slide through.

"I'm bouta go by that nigga stacy, you want something?" I didn't even bother asking if he knew who Stacy was because everybody know Stacy.

"Yeah a nigga need some gas." He came out the bathroom handing me a fifty dollar bill.

I grabbed my wallet, my keys, and my phone before leaving our dorm. I thought about taking the stairs but I'm too lazy so the elevator was gone have to do. I hate being in small spaces with strangers.

The elevator door was bouta closed so I yelled, "Wait!" A hand slid in the middle of the doors holding it open for me.

It was Stacy, I chuckled stepping inside. I got everything Moriah and I needed before deciding to go down stairs to the student lounge. I got like 3 bags of candy, 5 bags of chips, and 3 cold drinks.

"Thats a lot snack for just one guy." The girl from earlier, who made me drop my phone, said smiling.

"I mean I'm down to share, if anybody wanted to." I said looking over to her.

Her hair was wavy, pulled back. She wore a white dress that hugged her small petite body perfectly. Her make up was nice it fit her just well. It wasn't all caked up. It was weird to be honest she was like fucking perfect.

"Yeah I bet you are." She said smirking.

"I didn't think I would see you again after earlier."

"Maybe its destiny wanting us to be friends. Do you live in these co-ed dorms?" I nodded

"Yeah, what about you?"

"No, I'm only a freshman. I just came from visiting my brother. My blood brother, not a fuck body."

"I mean I wasn't judging if you was, it's not my place."

"Exactly, but I'll see again. Maybe." She said hesitantly.

"You probably won't, ma." I stated truthfully.

I wasn't trying to be rude, but the vibe I got from her was all over the place. That was just based off the two small encounters we've had with each other.

"I have a name. I'm not your ma, so don't call me that." She said with a hint of attitude that you could barely catch but I caught it.

"Well what's you name then, ma?" I called her ma intentionally just to get a rise out her.

She chuckled before side eyeing me, "How about you tell me your name first."

"You the one who brought up names in the first place." I said a little irritated. "Don't even matter, my name Kaleb."

"Morgan." She answered swiftly sending me a smile before gliding away.

I took the elevator up to the 8th floor, struggling to open my door but I finally did. I walked in on a Moriah taking selfies.

I had to do a double take lookin at him, "Nigga is that my hat?"

"Oh yea. This bitch nice. I'll bring it back in one pieces." I could already tell living with this nigga was gone be a handful. I shook my head tossing him his shit. I couldn't do anything but chuckle. Let the college games begin.
