Li Shi wasn't bothered by Wu Xiu Yue's teasing; if she didn't want to come, he wasn't going to insist.
He replied with a (smirking) emoji followed by a typed message, "Alright, we'll hang out some other time when you're free."
No sooner had he sent the message than Zhang Qing Ya emerged from the guest room with a single-shoulder canvas bag slung over her back, chirping cheerily, "Li Shi oppa, I'm ready. Shall we head out now?"
Li Shi put away his phone and stood up, "Let's go."
They descended the stairs and exited through the west gate near Purple Bamboo Park, walking along the canal towards Guangyuan Road and around Renji Villa for a few minutes.
Walking past several tea shops, Zhang Qing Ya suddenly said, "Li Shi oppa, can I treat you to some coffee?"
