Li Shi planned to head north along the coastline to see the Bohai Ocean.
After breakfast in town, he strolled back to the hotel, preparing to collect his stuff on his way out, and then headed towards Nan Dai River and Beidaihe.
As he made his way through the hotel lobby towards the lift, a woman came up to him: "Hello, sir, do you remember me?"
When he turned to look, it was actually the Korean woman from last night.
Although she was speaking Mandarin with a slight accent, she was already pretty proficient.
With a polite smile, Li Shi asked, "Can I help you?"
The woman hurriedly said, "Thank you for saving me last night. Could we go over there, sit and chat for a while?"
Li Shi was taken aback, thinking, wasn't she half asleep last night? How did she recognise me?
Curious, he agreed and they walked over to a seating area in the lobby. After they found a spot and sat down, he asked, "You seemed quite drunk last night, how did you recognise me?"
