Originally, the plan was to have a barbecue at Family Huang Reservoir, the largest reservoir in Zhaoyang County. However, while Gu Shu Ting was checking if there were any farmhouses available for rent near the reservoir, she stumbled upon an announcement from the county's water conservancy department. This notice announced a ban on activities such as fishing, picnicking, barbecuing, or camping at Family Huang Reservoir and several other reservoirs, this was to protect the sources of drinking water.
Being responsible as she was, she promptly changed the venue to Sandu Reservoir, another reservoir in the county that did not fall under the ban.
Sandu Reservoir was also a large water conservatory, built during the last century's fervent era.
However, it was a bit far from the county town, about 20 kilometers, which took about 40 minutes by car.
