Third person POV
The next day, at the palace complex, Robert and his friends and forces are now standing at the perimeter, with the most critical and vulnerable parts being more reinforced than the other parts. Tanaka summoned many swords of all kinds using Sword Summon to provide backup. Blaise and the medic team are at the ground floor of the palace with their medical equipment, ready to aid those who are injured during the fight. Robert and his group, including almost all of the students of Zanid's National Magic Academy, are at the backlines readying their weapons. Jeremiah and William, alongside Tadashi, are at the second floor doing a lookout on how many soldiers are involved on the Old Faction's side, including how many Old Faction members are there. Emi, Sol, Luke, and Dan, are at the frontlines with the palace guards, while the other 2 Senior Royal Guards are at the most critical parts of the palace complex. The members of the Windheart clan, except for the women and young children, also joined in by providing reinforcements. The troops are at the middle. Sol prepared his chemical flash bombs just in case things go south. The Hal family are at the king's office overlooking the coup via the windows. Also, Sol, Alexander, and Dan took Robert's plan of arrangement of defense into action after some reconsidering by Sol.
Meanwhile, the 2 controlled legionnaires and 500-strong Old Faction members and their leader, the Grand Founder, took over half of the street adjacent to the palace's main gate. In addition to that, a giant crystal golem, hard to penetrate through, was summoned by the same Lightheart who tried to convince and manipulate Robert and Blaise last night; and that Lightheart was with 7 other Lighthearts from their mountainous kingdom in the southeast. But, it seems that the Grand Founder was oblivious about Emi's betrayal to the group because Emi masked her face so he would not find out until the right time.
Then, as both sides are preparing to fight, Tadashi, Jeremiah, and William saw that the number of soldiers under the control of the Old Faction is 6,000. They already know that each legionnaire had 6 legions, which consisted of 500 soldiers each. Thus, combining with another legionnaire, the number is 6,000. Eventually, Jeremiah and William signal to Sol and his 3 friends about it by folding a paper plane containing the total number of soldiers in the Old Faction and fly it all the way down towards them.
Luke then catches it and unfolds it to read it, before passing it to Sol and Dan.
Sol and Dan then get the memo, and Dan, with his knowledge of strategy in warfare, said to the palace troops, "Everyone, focus to the flanks. Reorganize to a more defensive formation!"
The palace troops did so, and they rearranged into a more defensive formation, with the soldier and backline layers remaining unaltered.
Once that was done, Sol turned to his and Zanid's academy students and said to them, "Everyone, listen up. The Zanid students will go for the middle, while the Peacewood ones will go for the flanks, got it?"
Robert and the others then get what he had said, and they hold their weapons for the fight, before splitting into 2 groups according to their school.
Then, the fight began. The soldiers at the enemy side pointed and poised their weapons and charged at the palace troops. Then, the ally soldiers of the king went around the palace troops, and focused on attacking the middle, sword-wielding soldiers, while the palace troops and the academy students focused on the flanks. There are a variety of magic and other abilities the students used, showing their backgrounds and lineage. The Hal family seemed to worry about the safety and well-being of the academy students, especially those who are from the kingdom's national magic academy.
Then, as the fight continues on, Sol flew using magic and went behind enemy lines to see what is the possible threats that may turn the tide of war. Moments later, he saw the big crystal golem with 8 Lighthearts, including the one who summoned it with magic.
Now thinking that the golem would turn the tide of war, Sol pulled out his two dual-headed battle axes, charged towards the crystal golem, and spun around, causing a tornado to form. The Lighthearts then revealed their wings and tried to counterattack him, but the speed of the tornado around him makes it nearly impossible for them to attack him. And so, as the Lighthearts were repelled by the tornado, the crystal golem got destroyed by the crystal saber wind. Sol then stopped spinning and faced the Lightheart himself, the one who summoned the crystal golem in the first place.
