#Chapter 109

The anticipation has my heart racing like a child playing hide and seek. My hands are shaking, and the idiotic smile on my mouth is hurting my cheeks.
Branches creak nearby and my attention steers toward the source. After running a course of watch in the woods, I turn to my left and see Warren searching for me.
The rain is falling hard and thunder is occasionally cracking in the background. Adding suspense to our little game.

I turn on my feet and run but the crunching noise of the leaves draws his attention.
High on adrenaline and thrill, we act like children. As I run ahead and he chases me.
I round up in the front yard and try to enter the forest but Warren catches up to me. My back is pressed against his and we're both breathing hard. So fast and loudly that even our hearts are too chaotic to create silence.
