#Chapter 97
Evelyn
I haven't seen my dad in three years and I felt like it was the right thing to do. I know it was selfish of me to stay away, but I couldn't see him as everything felt too new.
However, after the little conversation that I had with him, I think I can come here often.
Talking to him felt so serene. Maybe next time I can tell him more about myself.
My phone rings as I'm about to open the car door. Warren's name brightens the screen and I take the call.
/"Hi./"
/"Hey./" His rich voice breathes life into my damaged cold parts.
/"Where are you?/" I can hear the sounds of the heavy traffic swirling through the microphone.
/"At a facility. Why?/" I get inside my car and lean back.
/"I'm coming to pick you up./" So casually he commands.
/"I drove here./"
/"Tristan will drive your car back home./"
Confusion muddles my senses like gum.
