#Chapter 84
Warren
Out of all the days, it's going to rain tonight. The irony isn't lost on me.
I wonder if Evelyn is aware of the weather. Between the two of us, she's been eager to kiss me. Not that I'm not. I've been yearning to kiss her for ten years. I have it so much worse than her.
At this point, my patience is tickling down like the last drops of blood before the soul leaves the body.
Opening the fridge I retrieve the ingredients for the soup. It'll be hot and soothe her petrified nerves. Plus she loves it.

Taking the cutting board I put the vegetables on it and start slicing through them. I try once, twice, thrice, but I can't shake off the way my hands tremble as I attempt to achieve such a mundane task.
