He came to a stop right in front of me, and I suddenly felt lost, like someone who had been caught doing something wrong.
"Oh... I was just planning to take a quick look around," I said nervously.
"In that dress?"
I wasn't wearing anything that much, but it was quite too much for just looking around.
"I just like this dress, that's all," I added, feeling a knot of uneasiness in my chest. I had been angry just a moment ago, but now I couldn't even put a name to the emotions swirling inside me. It was as if my anger had disappeared into thin air.
Adrian scoffed and turned away, as if he was about to leave. "To breakfast now," he commanded.
That's when the anger started to creep back in. How dare he order me around? I didn't want to spend another minute here, let alone have breakfast with him.
"I don't want to eat," I muttered.
"If you don't eat, then forget about looking around," he retorted before walking back into the room.
