The self-proclaimed serial killer leaned back against the bench, tilting her head and putting forth an amused look as Neve struggled to compose herself.
She wasn't expecting the boss of this floor to be out here, relaxing like this.
"That move you pulled at the end was by no means bad, but I do hope you have more up your sleeve than just that. Or, are you planning on having that half-snake woman do most of the work?"
[... She's not going to fight me here,] Neve thought, glancing at the map to make sure that the boss marker was still in the same place. [And, I doubt she's gonna say anything that I could use against her. So, there's not really a point in standing here and letting this lady get in my head, is it?]
Making a decision then and there, Neve spun on her heel and turned to walk away.
But before she could even take a single step, an arm wrapped around her shoulders, keeping her where she stood.
She froze.
