Stepping just beyond the veil of the known world, Ezra watches the face of the young woman as her eyes lose focus. Her hand reaches out and moves through him as they now exist on two separate planes. His eyes watch her movement as she seems to have a better sense of the world this fourth time she is here. He takes a slow breath and wonders if she will ever realize who she is.
Nica seems genuinely hurt that he is gone; this time, the pain is more evident. He wonders if she is even aware of the tears that slip from her eyes as she begins to shiver as the world darkens around us. The world is changing, and the circumstances are becoming more critical as each passing day changes the existence of time.
