The windows were shining in the reflected rays of the morning sun,Audrey cuddled up the mat which she laid on close.
She was instantly awoken by the screeching sound of the rusty door,"Who is there?"She managed to ask, her voice emanating confidence as she spoke.She then heard the sound of girls chucking which made all the confidence she had seconds ago disappear.Two frightening figures of girls appeared which shed light on the whole situation.
It was no other than her cruel step sisters who found nothing but pleasure when she feels her whole world crumbling to her feet,they never let a chance slip in which they wouldn't mock her."BE BRAVE!"her inner conscience would always say,but as an adamant denarian she would do the opposite believing they was good in all.
Ever since the brutal death of her mother which was a mystery to all,her step mother and siblings made life a living hell for her,for no particular reason neither did her dad seem to care,he just watch when they abuse her sometimes join them thinking she was the cause of his wife's death.
"Get up b*tch"the eldest of the two girls,Janet spoke in her usual husky voice which snapped Audrey out of her taught.
"I'm not a b*itch"She muttered getting up on her feet.
With a shocked expression,the other girl who seem minutes younger than the first asked Audrey who looked at her with a blank expression"Are you out of your mind"?
"No am not,not sure if you are"She scoffed , hatefully glaring at the twin who stood at her front.
Amazed by Audrey's response to her twin June,Janet landed a thunderous slap on Audrey's left cheek which instantly leaving the imprint of her fingers.
Not waiting to see her reaction,Jane stormed out of the room.
"Serves you right"June took a glance at Audrey before exiting the store room which was starting to chock her.
"COWARDS!why didn't you wait for my response"Audrey yelled at the long gone. twins.
She twirled around grinning ear to ear,she spoke back at her step sisters?it came as a shock to her as well.she always watched them,they whipped her on a daily basis for fun sometimes transfer of agression.she endured it all but the fact of her dad hating her shattered her,her dad?that used to call her princess,love her more than anything in the whole world but now she hardly saw him,if she did just a glance.She wondered what went wrong,one minute they were all happy together as a family and now they are distant,her mum gone back to God while her dad.....

The four walls of the palace was decorated in a traditional style,the walls were adorned with paintings of past legends in magical history,the throne dazzling as they are allocated in the center of the room.the environment had a pleasantly welcoming aura,scent of wild flowers filled the air.Maids busy with one thing or the other some cleaning while some dusting while the head maid, Cortney supervised for "further explanation"Kept a close eye on them.
Head maid cortney who was allocating duties to the new maid took a glance at the others who was trying to gossip thinking she was occupied.
"Aqua and Cherry"Courtney yelled at the two who kept gossiping.
"We are sorry ma"They chorused with a slight bow.
She turned back to the new maid.
"You will be walking in the kitchen area and serving Prince Zion dishes"She concluded and make an attempt to leave when Zayda grabbed her hand halting her in her tracks.

Interrupting her,sounds of heels clicking could be heard from a distant,not long after the scent of wild flowers got replaced with the scent of delicate fragrance.
"Arrival of Queen Merabella"the Marshal queen's guard,Collins yelled grabbing the attention of all.
All bowed in response except Zayda who was carefully examining the unfolding drama before her.
"You have to bow"a maid, Tina whispered to her from behind as the queen walked towards her.
"Your roy.y...al h..ighness...?She stuttered
looking at Queen Meribella who was now at her front...
"I would like to see you in my chamber later in the afternoon.?"She spoke in a soft tone as she walked past her.
"Why would she want to see me"?She taught,she was continuously tapped from the back snapping her back to reality.
"Hey.. I'm Tina"Tina spoke extending her hand for a handshake.
"I'm Zayda"She replied her mouth stuck in awe.

Zyda who was surprised asked her self the question over and over again staring at Tina who stared at her awkwardly.
"Hello..Zyda.. you there..I was asked to show you around?"Tina asked waving her hands inches for her eyes.
"Yes I am.....Zyda....can we skip that..first show me to my room?"She pleaded.

A little girl cladded in a velvet-coloured dress kept hopping over puddles,her ink-like her flowing in the rythym of the drizzling ran,the rain got heavier by the second goes by,trees smashed again houses which caused rattle,the little girl who was getting wet shivered in fear..just realizing she was all alone and the rain didn't look like it would stop anytime soon.
In the process of sobbing a mysterious man who wore a hoodie over his face appeared,the little naive girl ran over to him thinking he was god sent not knowing he was more than that.In seconds neither the mysterious strange looking man or the little girl could not be seen.Where did they go?in the process of wondering my body collided with a hard substance.
In a jiffy I opened my eyes realizing I was dreaming but why did it feel so real?like I lived the moment?
Rain of questions clouded my mind not knowing I wasn't the only one in the room.
"Hm hm"I heard a voice from the back.Turning my head to see who it was,I saw my step brother,Ezra sitting with his leg crossed on my the sofa..
"What are you looking for...how did you get into my room... where did you see the audacity to enter my room without knocking?"I mubbaded him with questions
"Chill bro...one at a time"He asked a smile forming at the corner of his lips
"Nevermind just get out"He hesitated to get up making me yell "GET OUT!"
with that he made an attempt to get out...few inches to walk out of the chamber he stopped and turned back, glaring at me which I also did the same my mouth formed in a frown.."King father ordered to see you at breakfast"With that he left.
"What was that dream all about?"I asked myself trying to recall the face of the girl but to no avail I got a terrible headache.
I winced in pain holding my head when someone stormed in, thinking it was,Ezra who came earlier I said "Isn't knocking in your dictionary?"Saying that I searched around the room looking for who just entered.
"Who is there?"I asked after minutes of trying to figure out the person who entered.
"Bika boo"A girlish voice spoke behind me, recognizing the acsent of the girl I turned.
"Oh it's you"I sighed on seeing my step sister, Ariana thinking it was my full-blood sister.
"Disappointed?"She asked with a pout.
