Chapter 15 - Help Me See. Pt 1

Once school was at an end, I rushed to my room and formulated a plan. I needed to access Professor Vendetta's office. He had that doorway that could lead to that village. I saw Adus when I entered the common area. He froze like a deer in headlights. I turned away and said, "I know what everybody is saying, Adus; I just want to be normal. Please don't assume that it's my fault."

His nervousness exiled, and he found enough courage to say, "Kalon, I don't know what to say."

"I understand Adus. Please don't make it weird. I promise anything else won't happen."

He walked into his room shortly after. I grabbed a bag and put that textbook inside of it.

My plan was to sneak inside Professor Vendetta's office after hours to use his doorway. Maybe I can receive information from other sources to figure out when he leaves his office.

For now, I need to find Leo and ask him for help. I used the call spell to ring Leo up.

He picked up immediately. Without wasting time, I asked him to meet me at the lunch hall in five minutes. He agreed and met up with me.

"What's wrong, Kalon?" Leo asked me. "I need your help with a mission," I replied.

"I need to access Professor Vendetta's office without him noticing," I added.

"This can get you expelled, Kalon; you know that, right?" He mentioned.

"This is important, Leo. This has to do with my jinx. There is a restricted chapter in my textbook, which I unlocked with a spell. I need to reach someone who can read it."

He paused for a moment before saying, "Kalon, I would do anything for you. But you're not only putting my position at risk but also yours."

I pulled my glove off and showed him the pentagram. By the looks of his face, he appeared perplexed. He would sigh before agreeing to help me.

"Leo, all I need for you to do is find out when Professor Vendetta will be out of his office. Once the coast is clear, I will sneak in, and it will be as if you never helped." My explanation seemed to win him over.

"All I need is to get through the door."
