Shopping with the kids and Sweetie, it was nice. Mattie and Zoan were shopping somewhere in that same place too. It felt good to be able to provide something for them. Meanwhile, Sweetie was being as polite as she possibly could, like he'd throw her out if she said something wrong.
"This dad?" Wolfie held up a shirt he liked.
"Sure." Too bad Wolfie said that to everyone. One day, that would just be for Devin. "We'll try it on you."
Meanwhile, his phone started to ring. Typical. A day out in a relaxed environment and someone had to call. Ooh? What was Mads calling for? "Hello?"
"I'd rather not do this over the phone, Dev, where are you? You aren't at home and we need to talk. Now."
Now, now? "Just at the shopping center near home. You can see it from my bedroom window." What was this about? Mads didn't just randomly say something like that? Were they getting sent back earlier than they had known?
