After everyone packed up and went home, Devin was really looking forward to Friday. After that last session, he'd be able to take Sweetie away for a short while along with their kids.
The kids. He needed to mind what he said more, she believed it wasn't his, and it made things easier for her that way. Any rebelling from a would-be father would only stress her out. Whether he was or not, his actions were still the reason she was stuck there for four years.
Tonight, after last night's stunt, he and Sweetie stayed outside with Wolfie again, to help protect the other little cub. He'd stolen a few minutes with Mads, and he convinced him to also keep her food bowl away now too, except for when they eat.
They needed her to get used to eating when they did. A routine would make her feel more attached to the rest of them, and less like a pet. He had placed the food bowl up high, and she was constantly howling for it.
