Chapter 15 - How Do I Know That Strange Name?

"Hi, Alexander Norberton here," a nice man said, introducing himself to the audience. "We are on location for what threatens to be a top contender in Romances of Wolf Island this year. This particular company has never been that high up in the ratings, but the conditions struck this year seem solid gold." He was grinning at the camera. "Let's go meet the housemates of Home Sweet Never Home."

He went toward a large place. It was closer in size to a mansion.

There was a person waiting there. Someone Devin knew that he knew, but didn't know how.

"Hello, Director Harri Hubbard." He shook his hand. "So, this house is already getting okayed for several commercials without even a large budg . . ." He seemed to see something that the camera couldn't see. "Um?"

"Yes," he said. "Oh yes, this season promises to be one of the best seasons of Romances in the Wolf Islands due to this wonderful entry this year," he agreed. "Advertisers and sponsors alike are all about this show. There's no doubt in my mind we'll end up in top ten of Romances in Werewolf Islands this year. We might take number one."

The reporter person looked uncomfortable. "That?" He pointed somewhere the camera couldn't see in.

"Oh, that," the Director said. "Oh. First episode people will find out about that, so make sure you catch that."

The reporter just blinked. "How is that even legal?"

"Let's not speculate? Let's let the show introduce it all," he promised as he rubbed his hands together. "Any questions?" he asked. "Usually there are questions? Every year someone asked questions?"

The reporter still seemed shocked. "Who . . ." He shook his head. "Sorry. Yes. Who lives here?"

"You'll find that out in the first episode too," he promised. "We want to keep everything top secret, so that the audience gets all of the joy themselves."

"I do." Someone came up toward him. "I am here as a guard, for both of them."

"For her too?" The reporter pointed off screen.

"I try," he said.

"Then? Then why . . .?" The reporter couldn't get an answer.

"Watch for new guests too," Judge Love said. "I am hoping for a certain guest to show up. It'd be wonderful if they did."

"Oh, they will. We have a deal," the Director said. "New housemates will be coming soon, or there will be some serious consequences."

"Who?" The reporter asked.

"Four. One of them is more than ready to come. Three more are still trying to be reached, but I imagine as big as this particular home is coming? They will find their way back." He almost chuckled. "One can hope? The house will be even greater if they come."

"If they don't, Zoan and I will help," Judge Love said.

"Judge Love. I know that man. I know his name." Devin watched the video end. "How do I know that strange name?"

"Your forgetful dust is about to disappear," Mads said to him. "I am sorry. Devin."

Mads rarely said sorry. Forgetful . . .?

The Wolf Islands

Grayson and Billy followed behind Devin to get to the Wolf Island's brand new house that would be starting in four days.

Devin knocked hard. No one answered. He knocked even harder. When someone answered? He punched them right in the nose. "Destinyofages, where is she, now?!"

Grayson and Billy didn't stay too far behind, ready to back him up.

"Well?" Director Harri Hubbard grabbed his nose that was bleeding, but still seemed pleased. "Oh, come on. You should have kept that for the first episode. Devin Oliver Olivacea. Are you ready to join the casting?"

If no one could hurt her physically, then did she fall for someone and it didn't work out? Were they abusing her heart? He was holding all the secrets.

Devin was breathing hard. He was usually an understand person. A good wolf. When someone crossed him though? "The only reason I am not tearing you apart, into pieces so small that-"

"That your director forbid it?" He just laughed. "Director to Director? There was no chance of getting out of this."

This guy. He might be a director, but he wasn't the same kind of director. While Harri Hubbard was the director of a TV Show, his Director of Operations was in charge of the work schedules, the hiring, the budget, everything.

They were going to get more than Destinyofages out of there.

"We are going to need everyone that is in that contract though," Harri Hubbard warned him. "Then we'll discuss the details about what you signed closer."

"I know what I signed. I remember," Devin muttered. "I remembered how I was doing everything I could to help Destinyofages, but no one ever said she would be stuck in a home for four years before the show started. Neither do I remember giving any permission to use that-that whatever dust you used on us!"

"I . . .?" Hubbard squinced his eyes. "I don't know what you are talking about? I'm just glad you found your way back for the show."

Devin looked around. What did that reporter man see that made him pause and become so uncomfortable? He didn't see anything. "What did that reporter see out here?"

"I don't know which reporter you mean? We've had plenty of reporters come in and out," he announced. That man continued to grin until he saw Judge Love.

Judge Love. Devin marched right toward him while that scummy man held up his hands.

"Look?" Judge Love paused as Grayson and Billy stood on each side of him, their hands on each of his shoulders. "I know you aren't happy with me, but I've been watching out for her, and I kept a lot of . . ." He looked toward all three of them surrounding him. "I made special notes and ammendments to keep her safe, I even lived here with her for four years."

Judge Love was lifted into the air by Grayson and Billy.

Devin glared at him, very close. Nose to nose in fact. He didn't say anything at first. He just kept staring at him, eye to eye. This mole. This rat. He could feel his claws start to emerge, but he had to hold back.
