Incredulously, Persie asked, "Y-you want me to sleep with you?"
Cole nodded. "You'll stay until the morning, and we'll go to breakfast together since I'm joining you for a ride."
A wave of overwhelm washed over Persie. "You want to ride with us?"
Cole nodded. Persie frowned. "We'll be staying most of the day out and having a picnic outside."
Persie failed to picture Cole sitting on the ground, enjoying a sandwich. Cole said, "It's fine. I'll send people ahead to get everything ready for lunch."
Persie added, "I like to ride fast, and you'll probably get dirty."
"Don't you want me to come?" Cole asked.
Noticing a hint of hurt in his expression, Persie spoke up, "It's just that I don't want you to feel uncomfortable. You live in a castle, and your bedroom is a suite. You have servants who take care of you."
Cole's suite boasted a living room, kitchen, and various other rooms. Persie hadn't explored them in detail.
