Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: The Twins II

"Nothing that we didn't know." The right twin chuckled. "He hooked us up with some people. Like William Junior said, we need a place to stay, a place to hide."

"Maybe you're the one who should ask yourself what Rex gave you." The left twin smiled softly at Mar. "He was a different man when we finally saw him again."

He's a different man, huh? For better or for worse?

Liam hopes it's for the better because he's with Blue now. Sure, the omega can dispose of him anytime, but it gets complicated when there's feelings in the mix.

Also, what the hell did Rex do during his deployment?

"We're promoting him now?" Mar snorted.

"No, but he's been good to us." The left twin pressed his lips into a hard line. "He gave us a ticket to sanctuary, and he asked for nothing in return as long as our ideals align with his."

"Your ideals?" The platinum blond alpha snapped at the twins. "What ideals? Political?"

The right twin cleared his throat, and his once happy demeanor was thrown out the window. "Junior, you're quick to catch on. Yeah, political ideals. Nothing too serious. The Sanctuary we're going to was actually founded by our mother before she was trapped in this hell of a life by our dear daddy. Rex just happened to be in the right place at the right time to meet the right people, and he connected them to us. We're thankful for that."

"Nothing too serious?" Mar's frown deepened. "That's what you said before you info dump some really suspicious things?"

"Look, we can't answer every question you have." The left twin pushed himself off the ground. He clapped his hands to remove any dirt and patted himself clean. "But we trust you to not ruin our plans, either by telling people about it or by stopping us from leaving physically."

"Fine, fine." Mar stood up more fluidly than his older brother. The black haired alpha's jaw tensed and his fists closed, but he still gave the twins a smile. "Do whatever you want. I won't stop you."

"You, too, William Junior." The right twin pointed his index finger at Liam. "We trust you, too."

With that being said, the left twin gave his brother a hand as the right twin tried to stand up. The platinum blond alpha stood up and dusted his arse, just in case there was sand on the rock to ruin his day.

"Your biggest concern should be how to get off this rock, not getting away from our father." Mar mumbled as he jumped off the edge, and his weight was heard hitting the sandy ground beneath them.

"Wait, there's a way to get down, right?" The right twin piped up as Liam made his way to where he climbed up.

"Nope. You gotta jump." The platinum blond alpha deadpanned.

"Shit, that's high as hell. We're not jumping." The left twin shouted back.

"Just kidding." Liam chuckled as he carefully set his feet in the tiny cracks and held on to any nooks and crannies. "We climb. Watch me. Unless you're brave like Mar, jumping works, too."

Climbing down was harder than it sounds, with the sun beating down on his head and back, his finger tips raw from friction against the rock, a bit of sand managed to get into his nails... The platinum blond alpha decided to just give up and jump half way. He's only a few feet off the ground, so it's nothing to him.

His blue eyes looked up, and he saw the twins looking at him. The rock was at least twelve feet tall, and the twins were respectively six feet each. That's a funny way to phrase it...

"Jump!" Mar shouted at them with a huge grin on his face. "If I can do it, you can do it!"

"Nah, thanks. I'll climb." The right twin sighed, and he crouched down to look at how he could climb down.

"This was a great idea initially." The other twin crouched down next to his brother. "I'll go first."

"Alright...!" The black haired alpha shouted at his brothers again. "If you fall, we'll catch you!"

"I didn't sign up for this!" Liam responded with a wide grin. "Don't count on me!"

"Haha, very helpful." The left twin found his footing on a crack, but his hands were shaking as they let go of the edge of the flat surface to find a nook where he could grip on to.

After a minute of hanging in the air, the ginger alpha looked conflicted. Oh... He's just stuck.

"Now what?" The twin called out.

"Jump, you dumbass!" Mar shouted in reply. "Feet first, don't flail, keep your eyes open so you know where you're landing. We got your back."

The left twin looked up at his brother, and he looked back down at the two alphas on the ground.

"Come closer and get me, Mar!" The left twin groaned.

"Fine, fine..." The black haired alpha stood right underneath his brother.

"You, too, Junior!" The other twin, who's still on the rock's flat surface, ordered him.

"I didn't sign up for this shit!" The platinum blond alpha made his opinion known, but he stood next to his companion anyways.

With their arms out to show that they're ready to catch any idiot falling, Mar announced, "Now jump. You won't die."

Well, even if one of them dies, there's still the other one.

The ginger alpha hanging on the rock took a deep breath. Then, he simply let go of his hold.

Two hundred pounds of flesh and blood screamed as the twin crashed into Liam and Mar's arms. The black haired alpha cursed under his breath while the platinum blond alpha took a few steps back from the collision.

"Mission accomplished." Liam said out as he helped the ginger alpha gain footing on the ground again.

"Get down from there!" Mar shouted at his older brother who's the only one remaining on the rock.

"Fuck... Can I just jump?" The remaining twin shouted.

"Yeah, bro!" The twin on the ground replied even though he still looked dazed from his descent.

"Trying climbing first—" Mar's advice went unheard by the twin because the idiot dropped him off the rock as if he's committing suicide.

Fortunately, three people caught him just in time, and the idiot lives.

"Lin, don't ever do that ever again, bro." The first twin to get down said his brother's name, so now Liam finally figured out who is who.

The idiot who jumped and still stayed in their arms is Lin the older twin, while the one who at least made an effort to climb down is Tin, the young twin.

Liam can tell who is who now, but if they leave and meet each other later, then the platinum blond alpha will not be able to tell again. Now, he needs to talk to Rex, and hell, who has Rex's number again?

Right, his dear alpha female sister.
