Hours pass and the situation in Mirfield hasn't gotten any better, packed into the bunker sector. Xavier wonders to the door of the bunker seeing Jessica and Rex. "Hey Jessica!" "Hey Xavier, am glad you made it in here before the doors shut. not everyone made it inside." a sudden quack makes the bunker rumble. meanwhile in Mirfield Logan hides as he hears scream of people dying to Nightcrawler. "Dammit, the doors have shut." Logan tries to make his way to the command post to check the situation there. back in the bunker Xavier looks for a back exit, Rex and Jessica try to stop him. "What are you doing?" " I need to get out their people are dying out there are we just going to wait until the nightcrawlers leave." Xavier replies to her. "There is a crawl space near the front door, it looks like it was made from the explosions earlier."
Jessica and Rex block Xavier from view as he slides through the gap, a couple of minutes later Xavier sees the light from the outside as he arrives at the end of gap. Bodies of civilians lay dead near the door to the bunker. Looking around Xavier hears the screeching of Nightcrawler's, moving as quick as he can Xavier climbs on top of a house to survey the area to see if he finds logan or any survivor. Looking around Xavier sees a Staircase on the in the distance, but he is suddenly distracted by a scream. turning he sees a man running from a Nightcrawler. "HELP ME!!!!" Xavier fight in his head whether to help or not but jumps down, "HEY!" he shouts getting their attention "Come this way." the man runs to him but suddenly another Nightcrawler jumps out piercing the man through with its tail. "!?" now in a bad situation Xavier finds himself face to face against Two Nightcrawlers.
"Dammit, I shouldn't have tried to be the hero." Xavier Prepares to run but the two Nightcrawlers are shot down by a blaster. "!?" Then appears Logan along with Serenata and some command post workers. "Xavier come on! We need to find a safe place, there isn't time to be dazed." Serenata shouts to Xavier. "What's going on! How did the Nightcrawler's breach the gates?" Xavier replies. Moving to a secure location Serenata begins to explain what transpired in the command post while everyone was returning from the mission. "You were ambushed!?" Xavier replies confused. "Yes, by a man called Zang Zaoran an old royal that used to live here, Zang has partnered with the pirates to take our resources and land."
After hearing what serenata says Xavier decides to reveal that those pirates are working for the A.E.U and this can only be the beginning. "How can u be so sure that the pirates are receiving outside help, they have been terrorizing us for a long time before your arrival here." Serenata replies saying to Xavier. Logan remembers that Xavier did crash land here, not rest here. "He may be right madam." "One of the ships that they are using was given to them, I recognize it that isn't a ship a pirate can get ahold of."
Serenata suggest they ride to Atlas and see what the pirates are doing. "What about that people in the bunker?" Logan responds to serenata. "They will be fine, most of the Nightcrawler's have left, only a few still remain in Mirfield. We can drive them out as we leave." Sometime past, Xavier and the others find gleekuwheel's in a destroyed part of Mirfield. "When we start these up the Nightcrawler's will begin to make their way here." Logan states as he and everyone mounts on them. As the vehicles startup they create a loud noise. "Alright, let's go!!" Racing through the streets of Mirfield, Xavier lays cover fire while riding on the back with Logan. Serenata leads the way, dodging Nightcrawler's.
Xavier and the other quickly make it to the west gate, "Alright guys, it's about to get bumpy." Bursting through the debris, a small horde follows after them. The passengers on the vehicles turn a shoot down the Nightcrawler's. Sometimes passes while heading back to Atlas, Xavier ask the others. "How are we going to sneak in Atlas, I'm sure it's highly guarded do we have a plan of attack?" "We can figure that out when we get there." Serenata replies to Xavier saying. A few hours later arriving on the outskirts of Atlas, the pirates have already seized control of Atlas. On a hillock Xavier sees a storage dock where they can sneak into. "If we time it, we can slip past without alerting them." Waiting the perfect moment, Xavier and the others rush past the distracted pirates into the storage. "They really cleaned this place, when need to find a safe location for us to form a plan while scouting the situation.
"Curpa's place is near here, if we move cautiously, it shouldn't take us long to reach it. Hopefully Curpa made it out during the attack when they took over Atlas." Logan suggest to the group. Before leaving they all make sure that their weapons are working properly and check the storage for any useful items. Moving Surreptitiously Xavier and the others avoid pirates patrolling throughout Atlas. Soon they come to a junction with a group of pirates camping out, Laying low behind debris along the road. "What do we do?" "The Pirates seem to be stationed here." The control workers of Mirfield says informing the other. "Logan, is there a way to get around this juncture without giving our position away?" Serenata asks Logan.
Glancing over Logan check to see if there is any possibility to past, suddenly catching his eye Logan sees a small path across the street. "Guys, I see a gap we can get through, but we need take our time, so we don't get caught." Lining up Xavier and the others get ready to races across the opening. Logan watches the pirate guards signaling when to go and stop. going first Serenata waits for logan's signal then rushes to the other side. time passes and everyone but Xavier and Logan are now preparing to cross at the same time. Crouching Xavier follows Logan's lead but suddenly one of the pirates looks in their direction. "What was that!?" Xavier and Logan lunge back before being seen.
The pirate walks over towards to the debris, right as he approaches it the pirate is called back. "Hey, we've been call to a new post let's go!" Saved Xavier waits for them. "We can continue the way we were going, they went in the opposite direction. Luckly we can hurry over to Curpa's, Come on!" Logan shouts to everyone as they rush through what's left of the pathway. 40 minutes later they arrive at Curpa's shop, "No...." looking from the outside it looks like Curpa's shop has been attack, a hole in the top of the dome tent. Stepping in moving destroyed pieces of the roof out the way, "Curpa!! are you here!!" Logan shouts. " Logan, we have to stay quite there can be pirates nearby let's keep looking around if he isn't here then he could have evacuated with the others." Xavier tells him.
after looking around Xavier notices that parts of his ship is laying around. then suddenly Serenata shouts. "Hey guys you need to see this!" rushing over Xavier is shocked to see Curpa's body with blaster wounds. Logan collapsed to his knees in disbelief. "Why didn't he leave with leave with the other, he should have had more than enough time to escape." "It looks like he was working on the ship, I seen scarp of my ship across the place." Xavier replies saying to Logan. "Sorry to cut this short but this place isn't secure we need move, sorry for your loss but come on." Serenata says cutting this sad moment short. "Why are they taking ship scarps? did they normally raid your cities like this." Xavier asks. "NO, they would only attack us during our travel or near their territory." Logan replies "Something doesn't add up," Xavier say. "They must be building something, and it can't be good give me some time to scout the area. I'll find somewhere."
"Are you sure? it's dangerous." Serenata responds to Xavier saying. " I'll be fine this will give Logan time to grieve, I can check the situation and why they are gathering ship parts." Xavier steps out of the shop steadily making his way to the pirate's base in the heart of the elder's structure. climbing on top of the houses Xavier gets a better view of Atlas. From above Xavier can see the giant drill with pirates transporting some material into the elders Temple. curious Xavier heads over to see what the pirates are farming. after approaching closer Xavier lays low as he sees a huge hole in the ground with a feint light coming from it. "What are they doing?"
